"Wh-what is this?" Erik gasped, startled by this turn of events. "Is... is something else helping us? Maybe..." He paused for a moment. "Ah, you know what? It's probably better than attempting to attack and ramming into a wall because I can't see." Holding his hands out in front of him, he attempted another Shield Barrier.

Alex looked at the team, his eyes still glowing purple. However, this time, the glow in his eyes were not going away. His eyes studied Zaria, Erik, Marina, and Marco, as they stood in front of him with determination. Suddenly, his head was enveloped by a dark purple aura and soon enough, his entire body was engulfed by it. His body began to grow in size, something akin to a powerful beast of darkness.

"This is definitely not normal," Marina said as she took a step back. The party was soon enveloped by a golden swirl of light, curing the dizziness that they were experiencing earlier.

Alex, now a beast, began to speak in a gruff tone as the world around them seemed to come to a halt. No one was moving and the world looked like black and white. "The people of this world don't want others to be better than them. They always view themselves as competition. They always think that everything is a fight to the death."

Alex continued, his body still frozen like everyone else. "Had the wretched kings and queens of this kingdom not existed, Atlantis may have survived. The kings and queens of Invidia resented Atlantis for having so many riches and technologies ahead of their time. They went too far and declared war against Atlantis, forming an alliance with the kingdom of Airenia."

"Invidians suffered from the hands of the kings and queens of Invidia. They forced citizens to join the war against Atlantis. Many perished and never returned to their homes." Alex's voice was full of resentment and anger. "Do you know the main reason as to why we all suffered?"

"Yes, it is the envy the kings and queens of Invidia felt towards Atlantis. Envy. Sounds crazy how a simple emotion destroys a kingdom of a million people."

"The Scarlet Wolves will destroy the monarchy. We will prevail. We will take our revenge."

And the world went back to how it was. The world's color returned and everyone was moving once more.

Erik froze, nearly dropping his sword. "So... your intention all this time was to take down the monarchy?" He let out a quiet, bitter laugh. "Good luck with that. You do realize that you've been stealing from commonfolk, burning down marketplaces, and generally causing chaos to everyday Invidians who might have wanted to join your cause? After any sane person has seen what you're doing and judged you to be nothing more than mere thieves with a knack for destruction, what makes you think you could overthrow the monarchy?!"

Zaria looked at Alex. Tears fell down as he explained many things. She thought of her brother who had been killed in a raid from there home. Her pride as a knight to be fell down. As she walked to Alex. "I agree. No one did a thing when they brutally murdered my brother..no one tried to help me when I was alone. I want to join your ideals" she said

(@Tala Is Zaria doing this on her own will or should we make it so that the negative energy from Alex was brainwashing her?)

"The citizens of this nation do nothing to change what is wrong. They kiss the feet of the kings and queens and pledge their loyalty to them. Why bother having them as allies when you have the dead by your side," Alex continued to speak, his voice even deeper than the last.

Marina looked at Alex in confusion, not understanding why people like him existed in the first place.
