"Well, that should hold the soldiers off while we make our escape" Arisha said, slightly grinning. Seeing both sides being attacked by locusts makes her giggle a bit. Roy did a pretty good job on holding them off. While Roy was asking for help, seeing as he was a blind man, Arisha offered her help, as she took Roy's hand. "Don't let go until I tell you to, okay? Hold on tight." Arisha told Roy as she was holding his hand. She used her chain and tranformed it into a shackle connecting her and Roy's hand, just in case one of them would slip off. Wow, having people who don't treat you like monsters really feels great once in a while huh? Arisha thought. "Guys, if we're planning an escape now, this is the perfect moment. We head north, right?" Arisha asked. She then looked at the shackle she made linking her and Roy's hands to see if they were actually stable. After a few looks, Arisha looked ready to sprint. "When I tell you to run, run okay?" She told Roy.
"Everyone, follow Tali and the others. As soon as you are far away enough, I will explode the walls to keep them busy for a while and hold of any immediate pursuers, not to mention destroy the clearing. I will be able to catch up later." Enya shouted. She took a deep breath knowing that if she did this, the chance of getting caught would be the highest for her. At least the locust swarm would be able to give her some cover when she needed it. "If anyone stays I cannot guarantee their safety, so please get away while you still can." She started building up the power needed to be able to have the maximum devastation and destruction. After waiting until everyone was far away enough, Enya let the power ripple from her body, the cold waves cooling the area and freezing the ground. As soon as the first ripple touched the ice walls, they blasted with so much power that she herself had to dodge some ice boulders flying her way, she actually got clipped on the shoulder by one, but with the adrenaline rushing through her veins, she never noticed it. The swarm seemed to work with her, letting through big clumps of ice that would barrel straight into the poor soldiers. Enya had little time to wonder if she had made any casualties and made a break for it, running after her allies.
Drake looked back just as the walls were blown. "Not bad." he said to himself, regarding Roy and Enya. "Stefalian's got some powerful Tarots. Let's just hope we are on the same side." He ran up so he was now next to Narus.
Aurora shrugged and just went up, she let her self float upward, not minding the locus much and just letting them move around her or hit her. She went into cloud cover, just letting her self somersault around and push her self forward after the people below. She rolled around watching her tarots in case someone managed to try and intercept them, as expected some were. She saw a few men on horses charging at them front on from Nuhan, she quickly grabbed her bow and connected it, preparing a few shots, she aimed and sighed sadly before letting go, shooting the men off their horses and then firing spare shots to take the horses down so they wouldn't slam into the tarots.
Speed and noises have never been pleasant for Ryllis, as she was a little bit more behind than most of the Tarots. Looking at Arisha deciding to guide the blind man, she supposed she would have to do the same if they were to gain each other's trusts and work together. Slowly she noticed one by one all the Sefalian Tarots and their powers. The blind man with summoning beasts. The scarfed man with metal, like Arisha. The winged girl who floated up into the clouds. The ice user who built intricate ice walls. The gunslinger who shoots bullets that have no form. Instead of taking time to continue analysing her fellow Sefalian counterparts, another thing was on her mind. She was not going to leave someone behind. Despite having been told to run, she decided to run back to fetch Lady Frost as she was running back to join them. Taking her by the hand, she slung the ice user's uninjured arm over her shoulders as they ran along. It had been treason the first moment when the swarm was formed, she supposed it mattered no more that they were probably seen working together. "Come quickly, careful!" Having sheathed her axe, she was dreading the thought of fighting down any soldier that came their path. She could see the forest up ahead.
Awed, Nerus took in the chaos that was created in such a short amount of time as he ran with the rest of the tarots. Slowly a grin took up place on his face as he peeked back at the two tarots responsible for the chaos, "I really want to fight them now." Giving a small giggle of joy at the thought of a potential fight, Nerus idly weaved around a soldier who was blindly stumbling around as he attempted to fight off the swarm. It was until he took notice of Drake matching his pace did he break out of the small day-dream he had entered. Flashing a grin at his fellow Nuhanian Tarot, Nerus spoke out exuberantly, "Lovely day we're having!"
"Hell yeah it is." Drake replied to Nerus. "Too bad they aren't flaming locusts." he joked. He was basically just blindly following the people in front of him at this point as the swarm around them blocked his view. "I am just really hoping we're still heading north. If we end up running back into the armies we're screwed even if we still escape."
In a instant, Roy was suddenly leashed and dragged along. "Wait wha- oh ok I guess we're going!" And he was dragged off by the young girl. When he was a good distance away, he could here the sound of an arrow wiz by and a horse go down. He gave a quiet thanks to Aurora, and kept running, concentrating on keeping the swarm up and off them... mostly. While locusts are easy to control, the swarm was still well over his trained limit. He was going to need a long rest after this. "Does anyone have a visual on the forest? I'm still good and keeping up the bugs, but I'd rather not for much longer." He continued being dragged along
Jose were moved north with the resto of the tarots, after a while a bunch of trees started to appear in the distance, it was the forest they were heading to. "I can see the trees, the forest is up ahead, we're almost there" he said to the rest of the group,he then saw Roy being dragged by Arisha, a small laught came from him as a small grin appeared on his face "Not being lazy anymore? eh Roy?" he said to roy ,he then realise someone was missing, the girlwho could use telepathy wasnt there anymore, "Hey where is your other comrade?" he said to the other Nuhan tarots.
Blinking at the question directed towards him, Nerus glanced around in confusion hoping to catch sight of Ryllis but gave a growl of annoyance as he noticed that both her and the ice wielder weren't around. Stopping in his run, Nerus's hand went up and gripped his bow as he looked back towards where the walls originally were barely able to see through the swarm and bodies of both armies. Just as he was about to make his way back in an attempt to find them, Nerus breathed a sigh of relief as he caught sight of what could only be Ryllis's axe, 'Not like anyone else carries around that thing,' Nerus thought to himself sarcastically. Notching an arrow into his bow, he pulled back the string and kept aim on the two making their way towards the group, quickly releasing an arrow that shot into a Nuhanian's soldier's chest that got to close for comfort to the two. Squashing down the guilt of officially betraying his nation, Nerus notched another arrow with cold eyes, his mind focused on making sure everyone gets out alive.
"I told you guys to run." Enya hissed at the telepathic girl who had come back for her, but she didn't try to shake off the arm that the girl had around her. Enya was tired at hell and she knew that she needed the support. Certainly, now that she could vaguely feel the blood streaming down her arm. The silver-haired woman noticed a soldier coming up to them, but before she could issue a warning to the Moon Tarot, an arrow came flying by and embedded itself in the soldier's chest. Looking ahead she could barely spot one of the other Tarots notching another arrow to his bow. She gritted her teeth and grabbed one of her daggers firmly in her hand. "We need to hurry." She told the other girl as she gritted her teeth.
Aurora let her self float on to the forest, she slowly descended and stood in the shade of the trees waiting for her fellow tarots. She kept her bow drawn, no soldiers seem to be coming so she relaxes a little but still has an arrow notched. In bordem she just floats up and sits in a tree, kicking her feet back and forth and humming. She starts to talk in a sing song voice "Where are you guys, you were right under me befooorrreeee." Not meaning to sound rude but doesn't like to wait in such an impending situation.
Drake saw noticed the swarm beginning to thin in front of them and saw a treeline, with a certain girl sitting in one of the many trees. "Oh thank you." Drake saighed in relief. "We are still heading north. Straight ahead!" he waved Nerus along with him, but everyone else he either couldn't see or were in front of him anyway.
As Arisha was running as fast as she can, she could notice Roy getting slightly dragged. It was either due to Arisha's speed or Roy is just getting tired. She didn't mind at first, but she doesn't want to feel like a burden to him, so she asked. "Uhm, Roy, am I running a bit too fast? Don't hesitate to say so" Arisha said, with a concerned voice. The swarm is seemingly getting a little bit thinner as some soldiers easily killed the pests. It was then when Arisha realized that Roy is really getting tired of being dragged along and summoning a swarm of locusts.
Roy started to feel a warm running feeling on his nose, and then soon smelled iron. "Ah shit. Nose bleed," he continued to run as much as he could, but had issues keeping up with Arisha. She started talking about her slowing down, but he gave her a stern look "Do not slow down. Not now . Not until we are in the clear." His ear perked up when he heard Drake talk about them being closer. He picked up his own pace to go faster than the woman he was chained with
Choosing to ignore the silver haired woman's protests, Ryllis had made work of catching up to the group with her in tow, after narrowly having an arrow whiz past her face. Blinking, she noticed Nerus had shot down a soldier that had gotten too close. Her first response to him was a wide eyed look of shock at the fact he saved them from near death, which turned to horror that he had shot down a Nuhanese soldier whom she recognised as one from her village. His name escaped her, but he was a familiar face she knew well. She was stunned for a short while, just staring at the fallen man, before someone spoke. "We need to hurry." the Fool tarot had said. Those words broke her out of her reverie as they proceeded. As they hurried on, she gave a farewell telepathic message and a last glance back at the soldier before putting her fallen hood back on as they made their escape. The locust swarm had started to thin out, and Ryllis could see more clearly. Fortunately, they have reached the safety which was the forest. While her mind went into overdrive for a short moment, she shook the thoughts away. Looking around, she made sure that her companion was alright, looking at her with an expression of concern. "Doing okay?" she asked with a slight tremble in her voice, herself slightly shaking as well.
How ironic, Arisha dragged Roy first, and now she's the one being dragged. However, how could Arisha complain? She could almost see herself dying and being a burden to Roy, especially with the shackles that were holding them together. She then noticed Roy nose bleeding. Expressing her concern, Arisha asked "Are you alright? What happened?" True enough, she could already see arrows being shot at her direction. She tried to dodge ever arrow as quick as she could, and of course, they were no match for Arisha's flexibility and such, but there's no such thing as a 'walking machine that doesn't get tired'. Arisha was getting slightly tired, and the only thing she could think of is to make a shield to stop the arrows from hitting her and Roy. Trying to get close to a tree, Arisha tapped it using her finger, then it quickly turned into metal. Pulling it out of the tree from quite a distance as they were running was a bit challenging, but she knew better. Liquefying the metal at the tree, she made it lunge towards her, then she quickly solidified it again. And ta-da! A shield. It served its primary purpose of preventing arrows from hitting her and Roy. Luckily, the shield wasn't too heavy, and it would be too harsh to consider it as a burden for running.
"I am doing alright. If you are up for it, let's keep going. The sooner we get to the safe point, the chances we have for making it out alive today." Enya responded. She wiped the sweat of her forehead and felt the stinging of her wound. Grumbling about the situation, She froze the blood around her wound stopping it from bleeding or reopening it for the time being. Only now that she could briefly concentrate on it, could she stelp the bleeding. Wounds were tricky business and losing concentration wouldn't do. She could see the telltale signs of her powers circling her arm, the intricate designs would melt eventually, but for now it hold hold untill she could pay proper attention to it. If she were to do this one anyone else, they could end up with frostbite on the treated region. Lucky for her to be the fool. "Has everybody made it to the forest yet?" She asked, taking a moment to look around and assess the situation.
Trailing behind Enya and Ryllis to act as another line of defense for the two, Nerus squinted his eyes as he tried to get a view on the rest of his allies before responding, "One or two I think, can't be certain." Snapping his eyes to lhe left as he glimpsed a soldier who thought they could sneak up on him, he let out a growl of irritation and allowed a snap of lightning to whip out and smack the soldier to the side, leaving a few burns in its wake. Gripping his bow tighter, Nerus glanced at the two in front of him again as he started to increase his pace so he trailed beside them, "I think we might need to speed up before they decide to group up on us."
Aurora hops down off the tree, wiping a little leftover blood off her self. "Come on then, we have to keep moving. Once we get there we can deal with medical treatments." She looks toward the forest, a little over grown, good for hiding if needed. "If you feel like you cant walks let me know, I can make people float, so I will just hold you down and float on so you dont have to move much." She smiles at people, a little worried for her companions as some, like Enya and Roy, look worse for wear and need to rest before they get more hurt.
