We haven't had a discussion on this here in a while, it seems, so why not reboot it? =o Which starter did you first choose in Sun/Moon? Additionally.... Did you make new files to try out more than one/all starters? Or did you trade to have them all on your team? Let's chat!
I first chose Popplio, and it is my favorite out of the Sun and Moon starters. My original choice was Litten, but upon seeing Popplio's final evolution, Primarina, I simply could not resist choosing Popplio. I did make new files to try them all, as I've done many times before in other games, with varying levels of success and enjoyment.
My decision went something like this. Okay, the grass one looks cute... Is that a fire cat? I need to get that fire cat....
Dat owl be freaky yo. I chose popplio because it is the most adorable and stays the most adorable when it evolves.
I first chose Rowlet, because that is a freaking adorable little poof birb that becomes a ghost archer birb, and I personally think that is amazing. I haven't made any other files yet, but I do plan on choosing Popplio when I eventually start a second one.
I picked Rowlet, because at the time of reveal it was the only one of the three starters I liked and tbh I'm still not really that fond of the other two. Popplio is okay I guess, I mean primarina is a really good mon with a nice typing and I have chosen Popplio doing nuzlockes, sadly it just enver survived to become a Primarina. Litten's design is nice but I can't get over that its final form looks like a wrestler aka fighting type, yes is not a fighting type but the design alone is enough to put me off because I'm sick of the fighting type look for the fire starters.
I chose Litten because I like cats a lot, I thought fire would be good on an island (mainly grass types, or so I thought). Also, I didn't like Rowlet and I almost chose Popplio but Litten's big eyes persuaded me.
I started Moon with Litten and Sun with Popplio. I never got Rowlet as I simply cannot bring myself to use it. I only trained a few up to complete my LivingDex.
Me: Okay, here are the starters. Hala throws them out. Okay, there's a really cute looking bird that fits my liking- OMG IS THAT A FIRE CAT I MUST HAVE IT!!
I picked Popplio, and reset till it was female, because if I remember correctly, Primarina gets an ability which powers up voice based attacks if you breed correctly. It's a thing of beauty. I mean, Hyper Voice is good enough as it is.
Picked Rowlet in Sun and Litten in Moon. I would've picked Popplio too and I eventually traded via GTS to get both others for their respective games.
You mean Liquid Voice? I thought that that HA wasn't available yet? It changes sound type moves to Water-type, I think.
I chose Popplio in my Moon game. I don't own Sun. Out of all the starters, Popplio was my favourite, hence why I chose him
