I wanna keep Kooki my Alolan Vulpix unevolved. I think it's cuter that way. I'll also keep my Helix Fossil as a fossil to praise it. Am I the only one doing that kind of thing?
I already know the answer to that one: No you aren't; a few people have expressed the desire to do so soon after the Catcher was released. (And by that, I mean to keep the Buddy and not evolve it ever. Posting a lot to level it while smaller, and then evolving it later, does not count.) I do have to admit that I'm not one of those people, however, since the major reason I catch things is to catalogue their evolution levels.
I have some I might not evolve because I just like their base form but I do also plan on just gathering up all pokémon in the catcher like a living dex.
The only reason I don't evolve a Pokémon is to make good use of Eviolite, and even then, I only use it on Dusclops, Magneton, or Type: Null, because they have the greatest utility out of the item. I generally just like evolved Pokémon more than unevolved, with maybe the only exception being Jigglypuff; and tactically there are so many other Pokémon I prefer over Jigglypuff who fit a similar type role.
We're talking about the Catcher right now (since that's what the Safari Zone is for). I'm not sure what Eviolite is, but based on the rest of your sentence I assume it has to do with the Video Games.
The reason my Lv100 Dragonair is not a Dragonite is because I don't want to evolve it. xD I just personally like Dragonair's design better. Dragonite is a great Pokémon still, but maybe I'll train for one with another Dratini lol.
Nah, I plan on evolving all my buddies (even if it takes 30 years orz). Even if I like their base forms, something about evolving them makes it very satiafying :]
I'll keep them in the base/midstage form if I like the base/midstage form and its dual typed. For example I like Jigglypuff amd its dual typed so I'll keep it in that form up to Lvl 100 but I also like Metapod but it's not dual typed so at Level 100 I'll evolve it to Butterfree to get the best out of its VB abilities (Which is why Im raising a Caterpie up to Lvl 98 right now)
Cool topic. I've decided to keep a lot at their base stage so Pikachu isn't going to evolve, nor is Houndour. Piplup will and Snorunt already did though.
I'm not going to evolve my Wippor or Shuppet, since I don't like their evolved forms nearly as much. For the rest of my Pokémon, I'll probably just evolve them if I feel like it. Many will probably end up just gathering dust, unfortunately (though they'll always look pretty when I check them out again).
If only I were smart enough to do the same. Alas, the data was missing from the Catcher-Dex, so I had to do so.
I'm probably going to be weird and go for a vanity dex, so I'm going to have a lot of unevolved Pokémon. Of course I don't post nearly enough for it to be possible to finish, but... meh. I'll probably keep an unevolved Riolu once I can get one, because I don't have enough of the Riolu aesthetic yet.
Oh yeah, all my Posfest buddies are probably gonna stat unevolved until the end. Sorry lil’ Slakoth, just wait a few days. ...Then I’ll think about evolving you or not during at least three hours.
Technically speaking, holding off on evolution is a smart idea, since the required posts per level will remain low that way. The question is, would you keep your buddies like that for good? Or would you just reach a certain level benchmark (not having to do with evolution) and just stop?
For Slakoth, I’ll probably compare all the line’s shiny forms to see which one I prefer, then evolve it if I prefer the evolutions’ shinies.
