2:04 AM Somewhere within Ilex Forest Johto It seemed a very ideal location for a secret base, all things considered. Hidden away from the public eye within a forest considered sacred to many people, while escaping most of the heat centered on them within the Kanto region, Team Rocket had managed to build a fairly secure base which was not in much danger of discovery. This sense of security was broken, however, when the International Police busted down the front door, catching the entirety of the base off-guard. The base soon became a battlefield, with both Team Rocket and the police sending their Pokémon out, sending attacks flying left and right and causing explosions to go off everywhere. A pair of Rocket admins sat in the control center, trying their hardest to keep the situation under control by coordinating the grunts to the most important positions. Suddenly, a loud explosion rocked the facility under them, and a whole series of important functions went offline. Upon inspection, one of the admins eyes widened, and desperately ordered the other admin to sent an entire fleet of soldiers down to the laboratories. When asked why a force of that size was even necessary, he replied with a stricken face, "The suspended animation chambers lost power, and they're beginning the emergency release protocols. Arceus help us, The Spliced are waking up!" ******************** It was the loud wailing sirens that Auron heard as his consciousness began to bleed back into him. The sound pounded in his ears, making it hard to even recollect himself, and try to understand where he was and what was happening. Then, he opened his eyes, and the normal indoor lighting that he had grown accustomed to over the many months since he had been captured had been replaced with a dark red outside of the glass capsule he was held in. As the glass tube rose to allow him to leave, several other things struck him as odd about this situation. There were none of the cruel humans with their matching uniforms anywhere around, the building was constantly rocking from what sounded to be explosions at random intervals, and most importantly, all of the glass tubes around him began to rise as well, something which he had never seen before. Not only did this mean that he would finally meet some of the other Pokémon that these humans had been testing on, but this could mean that a chance to escape may finally have come at last. He slowly made his way out of his tube, before turning around and looking at his fellow prisoners as they began to stir from their forced slumber.
