To @Azelflover1: if Mai and/or any of her Pokémon feels like it, feel free to join the Kotone roast gang when the situation calls for it. She's been quite a roasting material by now.

    @SAF @122 Generation @Azelflover1

The Music of the Phoenix and the Raikou

Of the Six Guardian Spirits, Ruby Phoenix and Emerald Raikou have an instrument--both to play for personal enjoyment, and to play magic. Emerald Raikou is gifted with the Hisuian harp (which sounds similar to a Chinese guzheng), and Ruby Phoenix is gifted with the sideblown Hisuian flute (which sounds similar to the Chinese dizi).

Like all magic users, the boys are better at playing some elements than others, and can't play some elements at all.

Emerald Raikou can play all the elements to a point due to his attunement with nature, and bonds with the others:

Earth--Master--this is one of his innate elements
Fire--Expert--he can play this element well mainly due to his bond with Ruby Phoenix
Wind--Expert--he can play this element mainly due to his nature magic, but his bond with Jade Beautifly helps
Water--Advanced--he can play this element fairly well due to his bond with Sapphire Dragon
Snow--Advanced--he can play this element fairly well due to his bond with Sapphire Dragon
Thunder--Advanced--he can play this element fairly well mainly due to his bond with Ruby Phoenix
Luna--Advanced--he can play this element well mainly due to his bond with Pearl Deerling
Sol--Intermediate--he can play this element somewhat well mainly due to his bond with Golden Delphox, but he has not mastered this yet
Wood--Master--this is one of his innate elements
Spirit--Expert--he can play this element well.

Ruby Phoenix can't play as many elements well, but his bond with the others has allowed him to play elements a normal fire-attuned magic user can't:

    Earth--No skill--Ruby Phoenix can't play this element
Fire--Master--this is one of his innate elements
Wind--Advanced--he can play this element well thanks to his bond with Jade Beautifly
    Water--No Skill--Ruby Phoenix can't play this element
    Snow--No Skill--Ruby Phoenix can't play this element
Thunder--Master--this is one of his innate elements
Luna--Intermediate--he can play this element somewhat well thanks to his bond with Pearl Deerling
Sol--Expert--he can play this element well due to his bond with Golden Delphox
Wood--Intermediate--he can play this element somewhat well thanks to his bond with Emerald Raikou
Spirit--Expert--he can play this element well.

Yo @Azelflover1, you still there? I'm not sure if we should wait for Mai's, Taiko's, and Mosugaba's actions before proceeding. Or do you plan to have them all wait and only battle with Aaron?

Ah, okay. Wave (as the host) probably waited for everyone involved to make a move IC before moving on with the enemies' actions. That, and controlling a bunch of characters can be a bit tricky too.

Now that Decidueye has a Hisuian form, how should we explain Junaiper's origin here? I've been seeing him as Alolan Decidueye all this time.

I wouldn't be opposed to him being a Hisuian one.

    Hmm...

In that case, would it be weird if we say that Junaiper had mastered both Spirit Shackle (Alolan Decidueye's signature move) and Triple Arrows (Hisuian Decidueye's signature move)? Or should I omit Fumiko's Sinister Arrow Raid altogether because it's based on Spirit Shackle? Or any better ideas?

    @SAF

Is there a way we could rework it for Triple Arrows vs. Spirit Shackle?

Like, a version of Sinister Arrow Raid based on Triple Arrows? Or altering Junaiper's movesets to accommodate both forms? Or how?

We could try a version of Sinister Arrow Raid based on Triple Arrows...

Since I originally wrote Junaiper's parts with Alolan Decidueye in mind, some changes are in order if we are to treat him as a Hisuian one.
    • Junaiper was born to Alolan Decidueye and evolved in Hisui, hence some spectral-y things he has, i.e. spectral hands for signing and his green, spectral-y aura.
    • His movepool consists of Dartrix's overall moves plus Hisuian Decidueye's in Legends: Arceus.
    • Junaiper's take on Sinister Arrow Raid is based on Triple Arrows. It's roughly like the Spirit Shackle version but with added High Jump Kick at the end -- Alolan Decidueye would fly away after the arrow hits.

So this is why we lost a good chunk of our RP:

Iirc the IC night was rather uneventful, so... what should we do now?

Well, that works. It's not like we've properly done anything the next morning, right?
