@Kittimancy "Let's try this." Brock smiled as he found the notes he needed to start on. "When you're ready." he told Haku.
@Kittimancy The mandolin and suji blended beautifully an octave apart. It was almost as if the two instruments were made for each other. For all Brock knew, they likely were.
It's not just Haku who enjoyed this jamming session -- his Pokémon too. Tuner simply listened to the song and Belle, as usual, chimed happily.
@Kittimancy After locking up the house, the group set out, Brock led the way, the girls followed him, and Ash went on further ahead to scout for interesting things, people in danger, or yokai and bandits.
Said arrangement left Haku and his two Pokémon at the rear in case anything happen behind the group's back.
@Kittimancy Serena carried the map. "Not far from Masara lies the White Mountain--so named for the snow on its peak. Some say the White Raikou of the West, Byakko, lives on the mountain."
@Kittimancy "The story goes that four great Pokémon were commanded by Arceus to make this world." Brock explained. "Genbu the Black Torterra, Seiryu the Blue Dragon, Byakko the White Raikou, and Suzaku the Red Phoenix."
Not sure if it's true or not, but Haku digressed. As long as he learned something new on the way, he's good.
@Kittimancy "Not every yokai means harm." Serena explains. "Some of them help and protect people. Delphoxes and Ninetales get a bad reputation for being mischievous or even evil, but there are quite a few friendly and helpful Delphoxes and Ninetales." "The most famous is Kitsune, the holy Delphox." Brock agrees. "She is said to live in a flowery field deep within a forest while she is on the earth--and her cave will only open to those that know the song to open it."
And now Haku's ears twitched upon hearing the word "song". "Have anyone here heard or, y'know, learned the song?" he asked, couldn't wait to add it to his repertoire.
@Kittimancy "The song is mentioned in bedtime stories..." Brock explains. "But as far as I know, no one has yet found the cave to test if the song used in bedtime stories actually works."
"Bedtime stories..." Haku uttered in confusion. While he got excited to add more songs to his repertoire, he couldn't help but to wonder about the mystery of this song.
@Kittimancy "Brock is one of a rare few that can sing mahou in his song." Misty explained. "This means he can cast spells no one has ever seen before."
