Unnerving but only after you stop the beat, I like it On the flipside, heres the track I associate with a level aesthetic that most people are unnerved by, but thanks to this track, I adore. Water Levels.
Interesting that people think this one is unsettling. Disregarding my lack of experience in Super Monkey Ball in general, I find it a very chill song with a very strong backbeat. This is a very enjoyable one. Well, when it rains, it pours. And soon, lightning strikes. Here's a Pokémon song I will bet not many people have heard, if anyone did at all.
Its more so the water level aesthetic scares people, the theme is wonderful. World 4 is really the more unsettling track I have atually heard this one as I played this title last year. Good track, tenser than one might anticipate. Now Im just gonna go full atmospheric for this one:
Sounds pretty chill even for those not familiar with Metroid like me. Also, can't believe I kept forgetting to dump this here:
OOoh man I LOVE the hooded Hyness' theme! It sounds so creepy and unnerving! Perfect for the mysterious leader of whats basically a death cult. The creepy factor also works cause you don't know yet what he looks like with his hood on. Kirby boss music is always just so freaking good. How do you guys feel about this?
Very punky! Love how they incorporated polyrhythms to throw you off a bit, while still complementing the beat as a whole. The melody gives off Mission Impossible x retro game vibes, which I guess fits the overall aesthetic of the games. Not something I'd normally play, but it was a fun listen~ Time to share a recent obession of mine:
Woah. Based on the title, I assume that this is meant to be a major boss battle, and it does feel like it with the music. Feels very grand, a little haunting, and has the ;save the world' vibes if you get me. I'm not done with Splatoon yet! Here's my current favorite.
How mysterious~ Sounds like a secret boss theme. Oh but that guitar rift is niiice. Lets go with Kirby now
Dang, Magolor needs a break-- In all seriousness, coming from a villain's theme, this is quite a heroic bop. Another fan game song coming up~ For the record though, the game it actually is in was a different one from the thumbnail shown in the vid.
Woah, this themes kinda fuunky. I dont know what you call it, but the little beats? buzzing? makes it feel both futuristic and retro at the same time. I feel like Im going through an alien location. Or at the very least, somewhere super high-tech that I'm not supposed to be in. Heres a very quick one
Very interesting; I thought it was lobby music at first but then it slowly got more exciting. The strong trapp-ish beat is a nice touch, and with the scifi melody it makes it feel really modern. Now back to music-company-disguised-as-a-game-company:
Woah, the beat at the beginning confused me for a bit, but the whole rock thing is so cool. BURN ME TO THE GROUND. Alright back to splatoon with y'all
Splatune??? Don't really know anything about it other than the fact that it's boppin'. First part out of the five~
Epic jazz music for best Kirby character? Sehr wunderbar! The bittersweet transition from minor to major at the dominant and the random dissonant keys really bring life into the soundtrack~ And because Lassus made a big deal out of me playin' it before:
Pigstep is absolutely fire (pun intended) and its a crime that they didn't add it into Smash Ultimate. One of my random favorites.
Love how the melody uses the minor key to create such a strange vibe that's optimistic in a way, but doesn't go all in and returns to the overarching funky sound. The deep bass beats really tied the song together, as well! Let's twst the rules a bit:
Huh, I didn't expect that, to say the least. Definitely not the type of music I come across often, but interesting nonetheless. I especially liked the way they used the spoons (?) as a rhythmic element, really gave it an unique touch in my opinion. Here's a track I'm really fond of:
That song feels more at home in rhythm games, honestly. *One quick peek at the vid's description later...* ...right, very Sakuzyo. Second part out of the five~
