On the other hand, Nowi went to grab a strawberry crepe made fresh at the stand. Noticing Tamal looking around as if he were here for the first time (albeit Nowi never knew that Tamal had recently moved to Iris-shi to begin with).

"If you have a sweet tooth, there are plenty of strawberry things you could get! Strawberry crepe, strawberry sandwich, or just strawberry cake. Then there's a yakisoba pan that sells out pretty quickly, and there's also a stall that sells aojiru... if you dare to drink it in one go."

Nowi pointed to the stand that was selling big cups of a suspiciously green liquid. It didn't look appetising at all. Surprisngly, there was a market for this drink big enough to keep it in business. Now that Nowi thought of it, maybe she should dare Robyn or Robin to drink some and see what they thought of it.

At her table, Robyn reviewed Tala's letter again.

As Robyn continued to read Tala's letter, she was then distracted by Robin and Morgan arriving at her table with more food on top of the apple curry and the kumadon. It was fish balls drenched in a puddle of spicy curry. Smiling, Robyn helped herself to one while Morgan had most of the rest. Whatever curry was left, it would be poured onto the kumadon.

Nowi was more than happy to wait in line with Nora and her eyes twinkled when her strawberry crepe was ready ("This will make you feel better, I bet!" Nowi said to Nora). Then Nowi went to meet up with Robyn.

Robyn was quite amused when she saw the Hansen siblings each carrying the small boulders that were coconuts. "Over here!" she waved at them (albeit Morgan, who was a little shaken by the mess she had been, also smiled nervously at Nora). Now Robyn could wait for Tamal and Maya to arrive too, but she was very looking forward to sharing the letter.

Now that everyone had gathered at the one table where Robyn was seated, they went to enjoy the snacks or meals they had all gotten. The only thing that might have been a problem was the smell of the kumadon, so it came as no surprise if everyone hoped Robyn and Robin would finish their food earlier. Morgan was enjoying her apple curry, meanwhile. After this, Morgan might even crave a mango sandwich. The arrival of Tamal and his takoyaki did change her mind though, as she saw the piping hot octopus balls arrive.

"Well, I hope everyone - minus Alexa-chan, I suppose - has been studying hard! I thought I'd share some news that Tala-chan wrote a letter to us. It's really exciting to hear back from her, really!" Robyn said. She pulled the letter from her bag and held it up for everyone to see, and then placed it down. "Seems she actually didn't find her brother, and she misses us," Robyn frowned and crossed her arms.

 

Robyn looked at Tamal and nodded to acknowledge him. True, the world was finite and it was possible that Tala's brother could be somewhere relatively close. However, Robyn had her doubts that Tala's brother was in Iris-shi. Still in thought, Robyn proceeded to eat half of her kumadon. She smiled at how Kai was having fun with his coconut. A drink and a snack in the same package. What else could there be? Now watching Kai made Robyn hungry, so she kept eating (whereas Robin and Morgan continued to eat at a slower pace).

And then with the younger Hansen blurting out her surprise and the older Hansen nudging her with his elbow, Robyn made eye contact with Kai, as if to egg him on. If she were to say something, Robyn would have said something like 'Uh, you don't remember?' but instead eyed Kai to explain. It was as if Robyn's eyes were telling Kai all that she wanted him to do! As if she were telepathically saying, 'You should explain...'

Robin, who had a good guess as to what Robyn was thinking, reserved his opinion. Instead, he continued to eat.

Robyn replied to Tamal. "For sure! We should send her a gift sometime, and let her know we're thinking of her."

"Like last time, there will be no club this coming week because of finals and it's the last week of classes," Robyn said. "We'll definitely meet up after because we'll need to check out Shirasagi High School eventually. I'll ask Kamui-chan and see where we'll go about it. Also..." She looked over at Alex, who seemed like in a world of her own. "I hope Alexa-chan also doesn't forget that we'll be on an excursion."

She turned to Robin. "Seems like besides Alexa-chan, everyone's had their fill of studying? I don't know about you, but I think I would go crazy if I studied all day."

"You'd rather go to the arcades, wouldn't you?" Robin asked. "That's so unlike you, Robyn. I thought you would have liked to read."

"Heheh... You got it. Come on, you would feel the same. At least until the next release of Culinary Rivals." (Namely a manga series that Robyn followed)

Robin really had to try to keep Morgan from slipping away because he could see the glint in her eyes on Alexa's bag, which Tamal was putting back together. Note to self: never bring Morgan along to a study session with Alex. That was a recipe for disaster. As he had finished his kumadon, he had a free hand to constantly pull Morgan along. Despite Morgan having been crushed by Alexa's books, it seemed like she just wanted to crush someone. Hmm, some things wouldn't change, would they? Robin hoped that Morgan wouldn't do the same at home... Eh, who was he kidding? He could already feel Morgan trying to let go of his grip.

Eventually, he followed Robyn and the rest of the club toward Alex's direction, where Anathema Road was. He supposed that even Nora must be tired out - given her brain might not be in the right place - let alone Kai. If there was one way to put it, he could imagine steam rising from Nora's brain.

For Robyn, she smiled at Tamal's gesture. "I guess constant cramming must have gotten to her. Will she be able to make it home?"

(I'm imagining smoke also rising from Alexa's head )

 

At first, Robyn wasn't sure if she should be confident with Tamal's reply. Like, it appeared that they lived in the same area of Iris-shi, but Tamal didn't know exactly where Alexa lived. Well, he should take care of it, hopefully.

"A-are you sure? I hope she doesn't stay like this for the whole day," Robyn said. Then again, she imagined Tamal could think of many ways to wake up Alex (considering the first time Robyn saw them meet, Tamal had slapped Alex in the face). If nothing else, she might even ship them to the point where she wanted to check the OTP poll. "Well... I appreciate it, Tamal-kun. I'll leave it to you!"

Soon enough, Robyn, Robin, and Morgan left Amatsu Park and walked up the hill together. At first, it appeared that she was heading in the same direction, but no one would ever guess that Robyn was actually heading to Robin's home. Never mind their constant walking together to school. That was something Robyn would have to carefully disguise these days.

Meanwhile, Nowi had finished her share of food and went to catch the bus.
