Do you like pickles? Would you ever think about owning a gun of any sort? If so, what would you get? Which movie (or series) has the best action scenes?
NO. Cucumbers are great, but I dislike the brininess of pickles. Maybe, but I've never had a need for one. *shrugs* If I did, I'd like to collect historical weapons, rather than anything modern. Depends. Are we including ones that rely a lot on CGI or just talking about those that involve physical work by the actors/stunt doubles? Personally, while I appreciate the work people do to enhance the finished product through technology, I almost feel like it threatens to supercede the hard work that actors used to go through.
About bloody time; I've never been a fan of the EU (granted I've never had a high opinion of the UN either). That meme is pretty funny, I'll admit.
It came from back in the days of AOL and Yahoo, just as the Internet had really started taking off. I had a heck of a time coming up with a decent online name. The first part, "Shinigami", comes from my favorite character in Gundam Wing - Duo "The God of Death" Maxwell. Sadly, attaching Maxwell to the end of it made the name too long for most sites, so Miroku, the monk from Inuyasha, was the next best bet.
Anything that is an over-reliance on moe, as that usually marks a lack of plot and proper character development. This also goes for characters who are inserted into a story as a method to bring in fans of moe.
Gundam Wing. That's how I came about the first half of my name - Shinigami, or "The Great Destroyer", as it was initially localized. Back when Toonami first came out, all those years ago, I'd only just started exploring anime once again (my first anime was actually a kids show called "Superbook") via Pokémon and Sailor Moon. All of a sudden, it seemed, there was an entire programming block on Cartoon Network, a channel devoted to all things animation (seriously, everything from the Looney Tunes, Flintstones, Huckleberry Hond - I watched and loved them all... though Jerry of "Tom and Jerry" would piss me off sometimes). Now, being of a military family, I am innately drawn to war stories and tech (one of the reasons DBZ never really appealed to me as much as it did to others), so this interesting show about a small rebellion versus a world government utilizing giant robots, a show with deep political intrigue and dynamic characters that developed and overcame over time... I was hooked from Episode 1.
High school? Well, I suppose I miss not having to worry about working or other stuff like that... 12. Of course, that was back when Space Ghost hosted Toonami, before T.O.M. took over the block.
@ShinigamiMiroku - Do you have a Discord account and if so, do you use it much? - What is your favorite taste?
- Yeah. Same name. I use it pretty often, though mostly to keep up with streamers that I watch and a couple of Fire Emblem Heroes communities (commiserating about bad summons helps take the pain away a bit). - Taste? I dunno, chocolate, I guess... Least favorite? Hm, probably the nonsensical ones - Grimer, Trubbish, and etc. Though knowing that they're at least partially inspired (if only by concept, in some cases) by Japanese youkai myths helps me not dislike them as much as others do.
