Group RP Iris-shi High School Talent (Idol) Club! (IC)

Seeing the brightened faces on the Hansens' faces almost made Robyn laugh at the mention of their mentor. But with Kamui putting an offer on the table, Robyn twirled a finger in one of her twin tails nervously. "Well... The plan today was to discuss our next venue, so this works out pretty well. Unless if one of us would like to perform somewhere..." she replied to Alexa. "So no, I don't have any plans. That was the plan today!"

It seemed that Kamui had helped herself to a skewer of yakitori and offered one to Meru, smiling at Robyn's indecision. "If it helps, we might see a few other school idols there too. We've tried inviting some singers from Krakenburg High to see if they were interested."

Robyn was also texting Robin, privately, wondering what he would make of it.

"Robin! Check this out. Shirasagi High invited us to perform at their school!"

"Huh? Cool! Does that mean we'll be going to Byakuya-shi?"​

"Uh... probably?"

"Whatever your choice is, Robyn, I'm behind you, for sure!"​

Kamui waved at Robyn. "Well, Robyn-san? Any thoughts?"

That snapped Robyn away from her phone. "It would mean we may have to go to Byakuya-shi, of course," Robyn replied. Turning to look at her clubmates, she asked, "What do you think? I'm with Alexa-chan here. It is a good offer."

The offer was such that Robyn didn't notice Kamui had been snacking away at the food..

 

Seeing that everyone was in agreement, Robyn turned to Kamui. "Hey, Kamui-san? We'll take you up on your offer-" Then Robyn stopped short when she saw Kamui snacking on the yakitori. "H-huh?! W-why...?"

"Um... You did have it here and it was irresistible..." Kamui grinned, still waiting the other skewer at Meru. "Come now, it's getting cold already. But let's not worry about the details here. I'll definitely let the club there know that you'll be coming! We'll have the performance on the last Saturday of the months, so you'll have plenty of time to prepare! But you may want to visit the school to get a feel of what the place will be like."

Robyn still looked visibly upset that Kamui was snacking on the yakitori, to which Kamui laughed. "Ahaha... Okay, let's try this. When you all come to Byakuya-shi, I'll treat you all to sushi! On me. Oh, and don't forget to bring Robin too! Speaking of which, where is he?"

"He's..." Robyn trailed off. She sometimes wondered that too. Robin didn't show up at every club meeting, though he always had a good excuse as to why. "He's busy, probably."

Robyn mind was on how this Kamui character even had the budget to treat everyone to sushi. Did Shirasagi High School have a big budget of some kind? Were they wealthy? Did they have more applicants than Ylisstol High? Is that why? Or was it because Kamui herself was paying out of pocket?

And she was lost in her thoughts such that when she realised Alexa was looking at her, Robyn's eyes visibly snapped back to reality. "Oh! It's... It should be possible. We haven't gotten any applications made yet for locations because of - well - finals. But you know what, we'll take you up on your offer then."

Kamui grinned widely. "Perfect! I'll let the school know you're coming. Now, if you want to come to Byakuya-shi... we should all meet probably after finals. I mean, I need to study too between now and then," she said to Tamal in particular, seeing the evident interest in his eyes. It looked like he was looking forward to it already.

"So does that mean you want to keep in touch?" Robyn asked.

"Obviously! Here..." Kamui replied excitedly. Within moments, she and Robyn had exchanged phone numbers and emails (although noted that Kamui's number used a different area code than Robyn or anyone in Iris-shi). "I'll let you know when's a good time to come! For now, let's focus on our finals."

Robyn nodded. Looking at her clubmates, she asked, "What do you think?"

(Updated provisional calendar to feature the Byakuya-shi visit which will happen to fall on Maya's birthday. Now I'll have to do some worldbuilding )

There was an evidently shocked and amused look on Kamui's face when Meru upright snatched the skewer from her and didn't eat it. Instead, it had to go to Kai! Well, the yakitori wasn't bad (even if it had come from Hee Ho Mart), and even if she had taken it without permission, Kamui would hold true to her word by treating everyone to sushi - if they came, of course. That's probably worth more than yakitori ("Aw, Meru, don't be like that!" Kamui protested). At that, Kamui left the conference room, but not before receiving a glare from Minerva on the way out (and Cherche had to make sure the crow didn't pester Meru too).

"Alright, then," Kamui said. "I'll talk to you later, everyone!"

For Robyn, she was glad that her clubmates were up for it. Not only had they got their next venue set (and no applications needed either!), they were going to travel too. She hadn't been to Byakuya-shi before, either. At most, it was trips to Gartenstadt, Aritia (and North Aritia, to some extent), and Perezia. So like her clubmates, it would be a new experience for her.

"Okay then," Robyn said as she faced her clubmates. "First off, we better think about what we want to perform for the next performance. I'll announce where our next meeting will be - and it will be the last one of the school term before finals. Next week, we may even start applying to enter the Summer Scramble, but who knows? We better get to studying, for the time being."

Then Robyn dismissed the club and went to pack her posters. There was much on her mind, what with the previous concert, the upcoming concert, and a visit to another city. It could have distracted her from studying for finals!

Robyn gratefully accepted Meru's apology by the time the Shirasagi pair had left the room. Now, before she left, she could have sworn that Kai had a glint in his eyes. What was on his mind? If anything, it could be a sign of evil.

Oh no. Was this the sign of Grima's return? She might just have to check on Kai one of these days just to make sure that she wasn't insane. Meanwhile, she caught Cherche and the others casually keeping watch at the door to the conference room. The crowd that had gathered there had disappeared, leaving only the Shepherds. Minerva the crow, for one, was quiet now. Sometimes, Robyn wondered how Cherche could put up with the crow knowing she could turn into a wyvern at will.

7/3 Wednesday: Evening; Robin's Residence

Robyn had also decided to run an errand on the way home (which was Robin's home), which was retrieving mail from the mailbox. It was fortunate she had a duplicate key - the same as Robin's - to get the mail. That saved herself and Robin a little bit of work. As she checked the mail, she was surprised to find an envelope with a handwritten address on it, and addressed directly to Robyn herself. She didn't recognise the handwriting at first until she saw the sender's name printed "Asakura Tala", which caused Robyn to gasp in surprise.

She opened the letter in her bedroom.

Robyn couldn't help but clutch the collar of her blazer. She missed Tala. It didn't seem that long ago since Tala had abruptly left Iris-shi. Moreover, she hadn't found her brother yet?!

Later on that evening, she shared with Robin about the day's meeting which included the club's future plans this month. Robin was more than happy to accept a visit to Byakuya-shi, just like Robyn did. All that was left was to deal with finals later. Officially, the last week of clubs was next week, but with so much going on at the school talent/idol club, it was hard not to keep going when there was so much more to do later.

7/6 Saturday: Morning; Amatsu Park

Throughout the week, there had been plenty of conversation about the previous performance and where the next one would potentially be. Of the many conversations, one of them was about Tamal's debut performance and how he really acted like the 'rising star' he was supposed to be. The way he introduced himself and his fellow performers was dramatic.

That morning, at Amatsu Park, Robyn elected to bring her books to study out in the open. She agreed to meet up with Robin and Morgan for lunch later, so this was probably the best used of her time. Morgan had made some lemon puffs yesterday and so Robyn had brought some with her as a study snack. Honestly, she could have done something else like taking a leisurely day off, but being the student she was, Robyn would rather dive into her books.

The sound of the high-pitched duet resounded throughout the park, thanks to the structure of the outdoor auditorium which helped to fill the park with sound. Several people had stopped by to record Nora and Kai with their smartphones, and some even dropped off tips for them! They were impressed that a talented duet would be filming something here. Would it be posted on Ebuto? Possibly.

Robyn looked up from her studies because the sound was irresistible. She also recognised that tune, knowing that Nora and Kai had played it before. Was it someone else doing a cover of the song? After covering two chapters of calculus and two chapters of social sciences, she decided to check it out. The music was just like a lure for her. It sure beat frying her brain with government policies and applications of the derivative. As she packed up her books and the lemon puffs, she checked out her exchanges with Kamui. Kamui was planning something already at Shirasagi High, she was told.

After she packed her things, Robyn went to the outdoor auditorium.

Robin

Although Robyn had told Robin that she would meet up with him and Morgan for lunch, it seemed that Robin and Morgan had elected to go for a walk along Anathema Road after a visit at Anna's - which literally joined Anna's and Amatsu Park. As they entered the park (Robin had to hold hands with Morgan since he wasn't confident Morgan could walk on the street alone just yet), they passed by a pair of students studying together at a park table.

"Onii-chan! That backpack is huge!" Morgan pointed at the bag.

"Indeed it is, Morgan," Robin replied, while hearing the faint sound of music playing in the park. Truth be told, he was amused at the size of the backpack. Just how much study material was in it? He had to glance at the girl with long dark hair with a windbreaker and gym shorts. Wasn't it a bit warm for this weather...?

Oh, it was Alexa. And Tamal!

"Oh, hey, Alexa-san, Tamal," Robin greeted them, looking at Alexa in particular. From the looks of her - at first glance - she looked like she could use more sleep. Did she pull an all-nigher or something? This wasn't even time for cramming yet. "Um... Everything okay?"

Robin was amused at Alex's reaction. She really did remind him of his own attitude to studying (although in a more extreme version than himself). "Is that so..." he said to Tamal. "It looks like she's hard at work." In truth, he was curious as to what was going on in Alex's head. Maybe she was that competitive of a student to be pulling all-nighters - given how she automatically went back into her books.

He also perked when he heard the violin notes. "Huh? Yeah... Wonder where that's coming from?" he said. He heard this tune before. Was someone performing in the auditorium?

As Robin was visibly not paying attention to Morgan, a mischievous smile appeared on Morgan's face as she went to look at Alexa's bag. Given its big size, it just might be big enough to crush someone. She wondered if she could give it a little push and make it fall onto Alexa? She had plenty of fun doing this with tomes (when poor Robin would be crushed by a tower of tomes at home), so this wouldn't be different, right?
