Group RP Pokemon: Evolution Quest (IC thread)

While the constellations were still there, they're all represented by white stars now. No colored stars, no more lies being told, no monster houses, yeah.

Thanks to the shortcut, they got out from the lair much quicker than their entry.

The first thing in Blacky's to-do list as soon as the group returned to Latermore was getting help to carry the Dragon King's remaining stash of loots out. At least six people would be needed, one for each treasure rooms.

 

Atelier helped out Blacky with the transporting of loot from the Dragon King's lair. There was a lot to carry considering that this Dragon King must have done countless raids. Who knows how long it would take before they would be returned to their owners? At least getting the loot out was simple since there were no enemies, no monster houses, and no obstacles in their way. It was just the shortcut.

He pulled out his Ethereal Grimoire, which held spells of every element. He skimmed the pages for something that could help levitate the countless items, and so he settled on using Confusion and Psychic together. That should be enough to move the stash.

 

Confusion and Psychic. That was more than enough to move everything out. They're later dropped off at the town square and it's only a matter of time before the citizens would come to reclaim their things.

Atelier also smiled at the hero's welcome the party got from the people of Latermore. Like Aine, he too was exhausted and although it was morning, it looked like he needed to sleep the whole day to get back his strength. He put away the Ethereal Grimoire and then went to find a blacksmith or a librarian who could repair his tomes. He had plenty of unused Materia which could be helpful in upgrading them too - at a price, of course.

 

With the ruins cleared, Xuehua was sure scholars would soon be flocking to study the place. She'd have to give an eyewitness account of what had happened inside later, maybe. But rest and also freeing the rest of Ardamore came first.

 

Like everyone else, Blacky couldn't wait to hit the hay as soon as possible. But that one wand he found back in the lair bugged him big time. One thing for sure: this wand had to be a Braixen's, much like the seamitar from the other day belonging to a Samurott.

He ended up going to the mage's guild to see if anyone there knew the wand's owner.

 

"It was an honour to serve you," Blacky politely bowed. He then took the Braixen's wand out and said, "I'm looking for this wand's owner, actually."

"The royal mages, huh?" the Umbreon warrior muttered. It probably would take quite some time before he could reach them out for this. Plus, it's not like anyone from the ragtag bunch of heroes could use the wand anyway. Xuehua had staves as her weapon of choice, Aine preferred to sing her spells, Atelier relied on tomes for his attacks (and a shortsword in case the enemies got too close for his liking), and Blacky himself, as the brawn of the group, only had spellblades in his magical repertoire.

(Is that in response to me mentioning everyone's preferred methods of casting magic?

Or is it for the fact that Atelier needs to repair one of his tomes?

I'm honestly not sure which one.)

 

Atelier went to the blacksmith first. Repairing the tomes had to come first, and perhaps he could make use of the Materia. As it happened, he had fire and water Materia and a fire and water tome. That might be good enough to restore the tomes and even upgrade them. If the blacksmith couldn't do that, he could try the library.

"Good morning," he greeted.

 

That said, Blacky put the wand in the safest part possible of his bag even though it was a bit hard with his bag full of blades and other whatnots. He then thanked the archmage and went back to the inn for a much needed sleep after pulling an all-nighter for two consecutive nights.

Atelier put the worn-out tomes before the blacksmith. The Fira tome still had some live in it but the Water tome was not. "I was wondering if you could either upgrade or re-energise these books? I've got some materials here..." He put out the pieces of Materia on the counter - two fire and two water. "Name your price."
