Group RP Pokemon: Evolution Quest (IC thread)

Now that a certain Sylveon nodded at him, Blacky smiled back and politely waved at her. He then looked around... to find a certain Eevee enjoying himself. That said, Blacky took a seat near the Eevee.

 

"Good afternoon," Atelier greeted the Umbreon. "Where have you been?"

 

"Oh, heya," Blacky smiled in response to Atelier's greeting. "I checked the Adamant Spires out to see this so-called 'dragon statue' in there. But turned out it's not even a dragon," he chuckled at the rumor itself.

 

Xuehua burst back into the tavern just then, after all that time. Her spells weren't "mastered" per se, but Luna Ball had come to her so fast with just a few changes from what she was taught... it was almost scary to her. Putting that thought out her mind, she heard Blacky - oh, there he was just in front of her - mention something about a dragon statue?

 

"A dragon statue that's not even a dragon, huh? That's rumour for you. Anyway, I hope you got to seem some cool sights, anyway..." Atelier shrugged. He noticed the fiery Glaceon enter the tavern too, so he waved at her.

 

"Yeah. Turned out it's ac- oh, hi, Xuehua," Blacky had his explanation cut off as soon as he noticed the Glaceon mage coming in. He then picked up where he left off after acknowledging her, "Turned out it's actually Zacian. And Zamazenta too."

 

"Afternoon, Blacky," Xuehua responded. "Statues of Zacian and Zamazenta? Is that... helpful on our journey in some way, or..." Those Runes of the Flower that Blacky had picked up had been useful in their efforts against the Luna King. Perhaps these statues would be similar?

 

"That, I dunno. I just took a look-see on that," Blacky merely shrugged. "Plus, it's pretty dark in the spires. No wonder people mistake those statues as that of a dragon. Should I get some torches in there?"

 

"I suppose if it leads us to something, we could have a crack at it," Atelier muttered.

 

"I'm sure the city would be happy to get its shrine back. Let's get that done right before heading for Piquedilly," Xuehura finished. "Sound like a plan?"

 

"Sure," Blacky nodded in agreement and stood up. "But first..." he turned to Aine, all while wondering if she would tag along.

 

That said, Blacky led the group to the deeper part of the Adamant Spires. Not without getting some torches beforehand, of course.

 

The Adamant Spires were certainly something to see. Now, if there was something useful here that Atelier could use, that would be helpful. Other than that, he had to be careful to watch his step. Getting into the deeper part did need more lighting after all. If he wanted, he could even cast some flames from his tomes.

 

While Blacky's night vision allowed him to see in the dark, the same cannot be said for his friends who were not Umbreon, hence him using Flash for their sake. He then set up the torches on the cavern walls along the way, all while wondering how to light them up for future visitors...

 

Atelier looked around at the surroundings of the spires. With the added light, he could get a better idea of what this place was like. That said, he helped Blacky put up some more torches. The locals would appreciate that.

 

Xuehua took a few of the torches as well, lighting each of them manually rather than magically - her last couple Rock Smashes didn't go too well. The statue towered over her and the rest of the party as they continued to light up the area, only marginally displacing its intimidating effects.
