"I know, right?" Blacky mused in response to Aine's amazement. "We can't let misunderstandings spread even further here." That said, the lunar warrior knelt down before the statues as soon as he was done with the torches. "Lord Zacian, Lord Zamazenta," he whispered. "Is this supposed to be a shrine dedicated for both of you?"
@SAF As if in reply to Blacky's question, the statues glowed. When the light faded, an array of thunder elemental weapons and armor, a magic lantern, and an array of potions were at the statues' feet. Take these, all of you. a gentle male voice explained. They are gifts from us, and should prove helpful on the next leg of your journey.
Okay, big welp. Blacky didn't specifically ask for items, yet here they were. In a way, this sure became a proof that his wild guess earlier was right. This place really was supposed to be a shrine dedicated to the twin wolves. That said, he quietly thanked them both, then picked up the Levin Sword, a blade imbued with electric power. And among the potions assortment, there were some Potions of Magic, a kind of potion that enhances the drinker's magical powers. Perfect for the mostly-mage group. Never did he expect for things to go this way...
Atelier raised an eye at the instant appearance of the weapons. It wasn't like they did that much for the statues, and yet they supplied them with weapons? He supposed there was no harm in changing up his gear. He picked up a pair of Thundara gauntlets, which should provide resistance against electric-based attacks.
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken Aine was giddy to discover a Thunderbow and a Stormy Mandolin. She wasted no time tuning up the glittery gold mandolin to see how it sounded.
(Sorry Wave, you tagged the wrong person again. I mean, you did get @122 Generation and me right, but it should be @ChocoChicken here.) Due to his assumed role as the group's brawn, it is safe to say that he didn't claim any of the Potions of Magic for himself. They're basically a fair game for whoever wanting to have some. And then there's the magic lantern. It made Blacky wonder if there would be anywhere even darker waiting to be explored.
(I've been replaced lol) Whilst Xuehua didn't find anything particularly interesting for her - aside from those Potions of Magic Blacky picked up - she picked up the lantern, watching the glow within. That was not fire, which was a welcome surprise - she didn't exactly want to melt her limbs off again.
Atelier put on the gauntlets to test them out. Could they possibly give him enough protection to tank attacks, so that Blacky didn’t have to tank all the time? That could have strategic value too. He watched Xuehua pick up the lantern.
As soon as they were done, the group went out from the spires. Depending on the time when they got out, they probably would camp in the forest en route to Piquedilly.
@WavePearl @ChocoChicken @122 Generation On the second thought, nah. Why camp out if they could stay one more night at Latermore's inn? I mean, it's not like Piquedilly's going anywhere, right?
(Back to the inn it is then!) "Is it this late already?" Atelier remarked, looking at the sunset. The day seemed to just fly by today. "Whelp, I suppose we could all use some catch-up sleep today."
"I guess," Xuehua responded with a tinge of disappointment in her voice. Hold in there, citizens of Piquedilly!
As for Blacky, he simply nodded at Atelier's remark. He, for one, could use some sleep after a good dose of random adventuring. (Should we skip to Piquedilly right away? Or should we RP the trip to there?)
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken (Is a quick encounter with a Galarian Ponyta in the Gimwood Tangle counterpart okay?)
