@SAF "If someone evil tries to find me, I would lead them to an appropriate judgement. Epona replied. "That, or leave them to wander in the Tangle for all eternity.
"Well, at least we know not to mess with you," Atelier said. He continued following Epona on the pathway.
Now that he didn't have anything else to ask, Blacky kept up with Epona and everyone else. He occasionally looked around in case there's someone tailing them -- friends, foes, passersby, whatever.
Xuehua gave Epona a slight nod, still wary, but continued nonetheless. The Tangle was truly a strange place - a forest nearly eternally dark from its canopy, the dim luminescence underneath it doing little to offset it. To some, it would be beautiful, but to her, eerie was the only way she could describe it.
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken After what seemed like an eternity, the group emerged from the Tangle to find a city that glowed with the light of millions of colorful lanterns. "Up ahead is Piquedilly." Epona explained. "I must return to the Tangle now, but if you need my help again, I'll be waiting for you."
"Thank you," Atelier said. Then he went ahead to Piquedilly. He hadn't forgotten about the Perfect Apple in his bag and what to do with it. Wigglytuff was supposed to be here, right? What could he possibly do with a Perfect Apple?
Now that they're at Piquedilly, Blacky thanked Epona too before seeing them off and catching up with Atelier. Unlike the Eevee though, Blacky had a different set of to-do list: upgrading his starter sword with the bronze(s) and/or silver(s) he'd got from the lava lake (read: what used to be Fire Dragon King's lair) from the other day, adding a skill or two into his repertoire of swordsmanship and/or archery skills, investigating this particular rumor: After some deliberating, he settled for the sword upgrading first.
@SAF Even the smithy in Piquedilly glowed in light. But this light came from the forge rather than the holy light outside. "What can I do for you?" the smithy asked as he worked on a sword.
"Good day, sir," Blacky politely greeted the smithy. "Can I have this sword upgraded, please?" he took out his Cinderace sword as well as the three chunks of bronze in front of him. The silvers could wait until later, when further upgrading would be in order.
"Fair enough." That said, Blacky paid 500 crowns to the smithy. "How long will it be done, by the way?"
@SAF "It should be done in a few hours." the smithy replied as he accepted the payment. "Come back in a little while."
After thanking Epona - it seemed they truly were a horse of their word - Xuehua hurried over to Piquedilly as well. Unlike Blacky, she didn't have any major ideas what to be doing - but anywhere that was away from that creepy forest was an improvement.
"Okay, thank you." That said, Blacky went out from the smithy. He couldn't help but to wonder what everyone else were doing. (@ChocoChicken? @122 Generation?)
Atelier had walked around Piquedilly to first get familiar with the location. It certainly was a big and bright city, for sure. What interested him was to look for wherever Wigglytuff was supposed to be. The guild was supposed to be easy to look for, right? Eventually, he found it. The guild was anything but inconspicuous too. It was a building which looked like a hut and had the face and arms of Wigglytuff for a roof. Atelier had to sweatdrop. This must be it.
(It had to be done! I won't get tired of playing that. Ooh, and here's more for throwback) First, Atelier walked over the grate which led to the entrance of the guild. The front was gated and it seemed impossible to pass. But he was soon surprised by a voice from below where someone was trying to identify his footprint. "Whose footprint is this?" "The footprint is Eevee's! The footprint is Eevee's!" "Heard ya! Come in, visitor!" The gate opened, allowing Atelier to walk in. What kind of system was this...?
