The rainfall had become such a downpour that Atelier had to halt his training. Sure, his items were protected thanks to the waterproof charm, yet there was no sense in continuing his training like this. At this point, he decided to find some shelter and perhaps look for his companions too. He decided to go to the library.
@122 Generation The library wasn't too busy, but there seemed to be millions of books, with shelves as far as the eye could see. No matter how obscure the topic, there was likely a book about it.
In the dojo, Blacky couldn't help but to feel eager to train. But given what he's about to train on, somewhere with water body would be a good start, right?
@SAF The master led the way to a large pool inside the dojo. "Here...this is where we will battle in the water. Unlike the real sea, the water is calm, and safe for training."
Atelier had removed his hood and wandered about the library. He would have liked to read more of his novel but decided against it. He would rather spend his time researching battle strategies, so he found a seat and began to read.
The Umbreon stretched his body, then took his bag and yellow scarf off and jumped straight into the pool. That's when he found out that the water-breathing magic worked. (I believe @122 Generation said that Atelier is reading some battle strategies...)
@SAF The pool was no reef, but it was calm, quiet, and serene. You almost could imagine a school of Goldeens or Finneons, or a Magikarp trying to leap a waterfall and become Gyarados.
Atelier spent some time thinking what was the best plan of attack. If the Water Dragon King was too smart, he wouldn't surface at the area of attack. Yet it was way too dangerous to wander into the Dragon King's palace underwater. Rather, a way to lure out the Dragon King and then blocking off an escape seemed better.
Okay, the pool itself was calm enough to (possibly) be mistaken as a spring, but also deep and wide enough to pass as a "training ground" on its own right. Blacky drew his new sword, looking around for wherever the master and/or his target (?) were.
@122 Generation "Can I help you with something?" one of the apprentices asked. @SAF The serenity was interrupted by the master's voice from the surface. "Now then...we will begin with the spiral slash."
@SAF "The goal of the spiral slash is to dig deep into an object or monster." the master explained. "Your goal is to use your body to create a spiral pattern."
“Oh, hi.” Atelier greeted the apprentice. “No, nothing much. I’m just putting together a strategy for Lady Aine, if you’ve heard of her. We’re preparing an attack on the Water Dragon King.”
"Spiral pattern..." Blacky tried to imagine how it would look like to no avail. "Can you please show me how it's done?" he asked.
@SAF "Of course." A few minutes later, the water was disturbed as the master whizzed by his student, spinning in a spiral shape. @122 Generation "Are you sure you want to do that?" the apprentice gasped. "While I don't doubt Lady Aine's gift, I fear that she may have gotten in too deep."
Quickly flipping through the pages, Xuehua checked for anything vaguely related to something vaguely similar to an orb - anything locked to a certain element still usable by wielders of other elements, or perhaps anything that could alter a spell as it was cast...
"Whoa..." Blacky backed off as the Lucario master passed by him. He watched closely at how the spinning part was done. If anything, the move itself looked almost like an underwater drill or something.
@ChocoChicken (I'm not sure what Xuehua is looking for, is there something specific?) @SAF The watery drill uncoiled to reveal the master at the other end. "All right...your turn."
(Anything that might help her understand how to use the Orb to change her elemental magic - she probably will not get even close to understanding for a while, though.)
