Atelier almost shuddered when Xuehua’s scream deafened his ears. Moreover, he was satisfied that the Dragon King was finally overthrown. At last, Keelford was safe. And he could feel himself getting stronger too.
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken Aine smiled as she reunited with the group. "We did it...now this place can have a real festival this year!" The next question was dividing the spoils...
As expected, Blacky quietly mused with a satisfied look on his face. He took the Sapphire Scale and Undine's Tear in each paws (albeit not sure what the latter even was) and swam back to the surface. Not without using Psychic to take the sapphires, of course. Back at the beach, everyone had already gathered. "Aight guys, here you go," Blacky unloaded the most recent loots he had found. "I dunno what this tear thingy does, tho..." (In case anyone forgot, I'm giving Angus' and Garma's part back to the host. Who knows if either of them knew how Undine's Tear works?)
@SAF Garma gasped when he saw Undine's Tear. "That's a powerful water elemental item. Keep that with you--they say you can summon a Primarina from it."
"Huh." Xuehua looked over the item. "Might be useful for the next fight..." As for the sapphires, she made a note to try one of those out. Water wasn't far from ice, wasn't it? If she were to learn a different elemental spell...
Atelier mused over the spoils as well. Not that he didn't want to try a sapphire but he felt he had more than enough equipment for now. His satchel was packed with books such that he didn't know how much more he could cram in. Still, it seemed what Blacky found would prove useful in the future. "I suppose we should get some rest," he said.
As much as Blacky wanted to agree, he still had no clue on the next enemy. At least it should be useful sooner or later, right? "Well, that's it, I think. Thanks for your help... you... two..." Blacky thanked his new friends only for him to drift off due to exhaustion. And then everything went dark despite the sunrise. Again. (Some OOC notes: We may have known the Dragon Kings' fighting sequence, but I'll personally assume that Blacky would know nothing about it until the planning days. The "everything went dark" part is from Blacky's POV -- the sunrise is still happening in reality.)
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken Aine rushed over as soon as she hear Atelier screaming in panic. After touching a feeler to Blacky, she replied "He's all right...just exhausted from the battle."
"He's not concussed, right?" Xuehua held her staff with the bottom end pointed towards Blacky, apparently preparing to poke him to check if he was alive.
Just like last time, Blacky's pulse was alright. He seriously needed some physical training on his own later, though.
Atelier smiled slightly. “Who can blame him? Let’s get him to the inn, and some food when he wakes up.” Atelier also had to sneak a laugh at Xuehua too, given the way she poked Blacky.
@SAF @122 Generation @ChocoChicken The inn was festive, and the party was given a hero's welcome, as well as free food and free rooms for the festival week. Aine just smiled--Steamington, and the Ruby Dragon King, could wait.
Once Blacky had been seen to his room to rest, Xuehua returned to hers as well. It had been a long night, and another tyrant had been felled. It was only a matter of time now...
While walking with the group with Blacky in tow, Garma felt a somewhat mixed feeling about the festivities. One side of him felt proud of his assistance in taking down the Dragon King. But on the other hand, he also felt guilty to the townsfolk he had pranked all this time. Welp, whatever, the Gengar thought as he detoured to Blacky's room. As for Angus, he went back underwater. The Lanturn invited all of the sea dwellers to either reclaim their possessions in the palace or help him returning the Dragon King's stash back to its owners.
Atelier spent his time replenishing his energy with food. All that throwing Gravelerocks had nearly tired him to sleep. Then as he ate, he took out his novel and started to read, to get his mind off things.
