    While waiting for Juliana to tune her guitar for whatever song she's about to sing, Pepe rummaged his inventory pouch for that one map he'd bought at Marinada Harbor as soon as he set foot in the country for the first time. Took awhile until he found it and had a look, all while trying to pinpoint Brioso's location in there. All he knew was that it was north from Cucharico...

    Once sure she was in tune, Juliana addressed her tiny audience. "Hear now the tale of 'Sir Valiente and the Green Dragon'..."

    The tales of Sir Valiente were well known across Paldea--and the green dragon that once terrorized Brioso long ago was one of hundreds of dragons and monsters he defeated.

    Sir Valiente? Never heard that one, Pepe thought. His eyes were still on the map, but curiosity ensued about the tale Juliana was about to tell. Must be a local folktale, he digressed.

    Once sure she was in tune, Juliana started a mysterious melody. "In order to understand this story, you first have to know who Sir Valiente is." she explained. "While it is generally agreed he was from Brioso, there are several other places that claim to be his hometown."

    The guitar complemented Juliana's voice--both speaking and singing--well. The tale of Sir Valiente and the dragon of Emerald Cave was well known across Paldea, and especially those from Brioso. Every strum, every chord, and every harmonic brought the exciting quest to life.

    Too bad Pepe had lost to his own temptations because now he found himself swaying left and right to the song. But hey, at least it beats a full-blown dance in a moving caravan, right?

    Nemona, meanwhile, was secretly relieved their guest didn't dance in the wagon. That would spook the Rapidashes, and potentially overturn the wagon. At least Brioso wasn't that far away. There were plenty of villages and small town along the way if camping in the open didn't sound appealing.

    (And here I am, randomly thinking this could be an Iron Valiant reference if Sir Valiente has a Gardevoir and a Gallade by his side. :D)

    Music aside, this pretty much sounded like one of those local heroes tales back home. A classic one albeit with different names and other details. But still, if the upcoming trial was based on the tale, a round of mental note-taking would be in order.

    A triumphant D chord signaled Sir Valiente's battle with the dragon was beginning. Juliana enjoyed telling this tale, and it showed.

    (I mean, Sir Valiente's still fighting a dragon, yes. Was actually thinking more of his companion(s), if any.

    (In most Sir Valiente stories, Sir Valiente goes alone on his journeys. If he has a companion at all, it usually a Charcedet (and later Armarouge) named Fenix.

    Keyword wise, green dragons (and the their jeweled counterparts, the emerald dragons) are earth elemental. While green dragons can be either noble or evil, emerald dragons--like all jeweled dragons, are noble)

    (Man, I hate it when a lot of ideas for this RP are whirring in my head but none of them are IC-related...)

    Green dragon... Earth... Pepe mentally mused. If the trial was based on this, would it mean a reenactment of Sir Valiente's battle would be in order?

    Juliana stopped playing when she noticed Pepe deep in thought. "Is everything okay?" she asked. The wagon had also stopped as well--the sun was going down, and it would be too dangerous to travel through the night.

    "Eh? Huh?" Pepe quickly snapped to attention as soon as Juliana asked. "I- nothing, really," he stuttered at the sudden reaction. Never did he expect his mental note-taking to stop a song midway. Great.

    And then he noticed the wagon stopping too. The blue-haired boy looked through a window (or whatever window-like opening a caravan has) to see what's stopping them. I mean, there's the sunset, yes, but that should be the only reason they'd stopped, right?

    Nemona, meanwhile climbed down from the wagon after arriving on a beautiful green plain by the road. "It's getting late, so let's camp here for tonight."

    She next pulled down part of the left wall, allowing the passengers inside to come outside. "Come on out and stretch!"
