Sign Up/Discussion Pokemon Legends: The Dark Zodiac

Im still forming up names and personalities but I think I have something. Basically shes a peasant who really shouldn't have been on the journey anyways but goes because she knows its right. Shes a farm hand but is educated thanks to the owners. The family she worked for disappeared somehow (thats a work in progress) and so she left. She joins the band in part wanting to do something good and in part being lost in life. She weilds a scythe which she once used on her farm job and has a grass type Pokémon with her (im thinking Treeko)

 

Okay so here are my Character!

Character's name: Kadae Sen (LN, FN)

Character's age: 17

Character's physical appearance:

Character's personality/known history: Sen is a practical and hardworking young woman. She focuses on the here and now rather than concern herself with what ifs. She can also be stubborn and restless.

Sen came from a phesant household without much claim or privilage. In order to help her ailing mother she worked as a farm hand to the local lord. One of the older workers on the farm liked her and taught her basic things usually not known by people of her status, as well as how to fight with the main toold she was given, the scythe. Then a dark sect came to the village and razed everything to the ground. Sen was lucky to escape the carnage but found herself uprooted from the only life shed ever known. She wandered for a while looking for a purpose when she heard about what had happened regarding the Mist Manual. Despite her limited knowledge she knew it was important. She hoped she could help in some way, either being an extra hand in combat or at least a helper to the heroes who are taking on that task.

Unfortunately no. She can read but not sign

 

Wait can I make another character? Another idea came up to me.

Basically hes a mage whos obsessed with taking the spotlight. Something about a complex maybe? When he hears of the groups plans to recover the book he foolishly joins thinking it would just be as easy as school and that it would make him world famous. Partner Pokémon could be a Phione he got cause his familys super rich or smth

 

Eh, I can go either way. But now that Nyxie wanna make a second OC, let's wait for that first.

Character's name: Mizushima Tokujiro

Character's age: 16

Character's personality/known history: Tokujiro is idealistic and creative. He will follow his dreams till the end if the earth even if it kills him. At the same time he is also very attention seeking and jealous which may be his downfall.

Tokujiro was born to the Elite Mizushima family alongside his twin brother Tokutaro. Growing up he was surrounded by his parents servants but not his family. His parents were too busy taking care of Tokutaro who was a prodigy even at an early age. This caused resentment in the young boy. When both boys were of school age, they were both enrolled to the same school. While Tokujiro was a good student and had mastered his Blue Chi easily, his brother perfected the Lavender and Cyan on top of that causing him to act out. When he heard of the crisis and of the Six Guardians, he decided to leave school in hopes to join them. He hoped to be the most powerful of them all and be one to prevent disaster so that no one can look down on him again.

Phione. (Its unknown how their parents got the eggs but it was given to the boys when they reached school age. Phione adores Tokujiro and seems to be his only friend)

Flute (to help channel Chi)

Okay, same question from before: does Tokujiro understand sign language? I have to ask that because Nagisa (my paintbrush guy) is outright mute but not deaf.

 

I think he could at least understand sign language. Maybe it was part of his elite curiculum or maybe one of his servants taught him.

 

Speaking of sign, here are the squad's levels of knowledge for those who do know it:

• Pearl Deerling: passive
• Emerald Raikou: active
• Nagisa: active (he's mute, duh)
• Fumiko: passive
• Tokujiro: active/passive (needs @NyxieRina's confirmation)

In that case... I bet Fumiko and Tokujiro would find their knowledge of sign language to be unexpectedly useful here.

Anyway, one question to @WavePearl before I start: is mural painting a thing here?

 

I think Ill just say Passive since I don't think Tokujiro would use it often enough to do the signs himself.

 

Can I make it so that Tokujiro is the one who bumps into Nagisa?
