Group RP Pokemon Legends: The Dragon Pearls and the White Ghost (IC thread)

The Gastly get hit by the attacks, recoiling in pain. They keep using Shadow Ball, and Mosugaba gets hit. He uses Stun Spore, paralyzing the Gastly. They try using Dark Pulse, but the paralysis takes full effect.

 

To Makoto, Fumiko nodded. She then proceeded to drag Kotone ahead while using Agility to try outspeeding the Gastly horde (and somehow evading their Venoshock while at it) and with Luchabull Bouncing along the corridors to cover their backs.

Meanwhile, as if the leaves, snow, and wind weren't enough to distract the ghosts, Junaiper switched to Leaf Storm while Emina took over the Ominous Wind she just sketched a moment ago. Nagisa unrolled a combat canvas and drew little circles ("orbs") in rose pink ink. He then tossed these "orbs" one at a time which then exploded into a bright light akin to a Dazzling Gleam. Hopefully everyone could use that to flee.

 

By the time everyone got away safely, Nagisa ran out of the Dazzling Gleam "orbs" he had drawn before. Such a perfect timing, indeed. He practically plopped on the grass as soon as the group got to the clearing. "I'm okay..." his signing wavered at the end, his heart still pounding from the whole ghost fiasco.

 

"I'm okay," Makoto said. Amazingly, he was sweating a little but otherwise looked remarkably calm in light of what happened.

Belle had also made it safely out, having followed Junaiper and Nagisa out while also avoiding being stepped on. She plopped on the grass beside Nagisa too, still a little on edge.

Whereas Kotone was so petrified still that she had not let go of Fumiko's arm and instead had clung onto it. "So scary..." she muttered.

 

Now that she had a shaky Kotone clinging on her arm, Fumiko pulled the redhead in her embrace. Sure, calming uneasy auras wasn't exactly her strong suit, but that hug should be enough to calm a fellow human down, right? "There, there..."

 

"We got it, but..." Still having Kotone in her arms, it was hard for Fumiko to reach the pearl in her robe's pocket. "Oi, Lucha! Get the thing in my pocket, please?" she called out. And yes, the Hawlucha did just that: carefully taking the pearl out from his human's pocket and showing it to Ruby Phoenix.

 

[Hmm...] Junaiper thought for a moment. Being unsure about the why or how, all he could do was to guess. [Maybe someone thought that was an inn and slept there?]

 

Even Aaron is confused. [I'm not sure what it was doing there,] he says, utterly confused. Mai, Mosugaba, and Taiko are also confused.

 

Belle squeaked, [Maybe the pearl just rolled its way in!]

Kotone hadn’t quite yet let got of Fumiko’s arm even though the latter was still trying to fish the pearl out. But thankfully Luchabull was able to take it from there. Plus, Kotone continued hugging Fumiko’s arm tightly, though she relaxed as the blonde patted her back.

Makoto went over to Kotone to look at her but hesitated to speak to her. (Wait, was Makoto hesitating?! Belle could clearly see it in his eyes)

 

"Hmm?" Fumiko turned to Makoto upon noticing that he looked like he wanted to say something. "What's up?"

 

Makoto whispered. "Kotone. Is she alright?"

 

To Makoto, Fumiko nodded again. "Her aura's still shaky, but she'll be fine," she whispered back.

 

Makoto nodded silently in response. That was good to hear.

Then Kotone looked at Makoto with the same frightened face. It occurred to Makoto and Belle that she seemed very out of character without that bright smile on her face. "Come now, Kotone," Makoto said, gently patting her shoulder. "If you keep this up, you'll be dreaming nightmares."

Kotone blinked. Was that Makoto's attempt to make a joke? She relaxed, surprisingly.

Belle scoffed. Kotone really needed everyone's support, didn't she?

Hearing the Bellossom's random guess, Emina giggled and Junaiper chuckled. I mean, had the pearl, indeed, rolled its way in as Belle just said, they should've seen it somewhere on the floor instead of in the drawer, right?

Fumiko, meanwhile, just chuckled at Makoto's awkward joke. While she couldn't imagine Kotone, of all people, having nightmares, the joke surprisingly worked with raising her morale back up. Satisfied, the blonde turned to Mai and asked, "Mai-san? You good?"

 

"I'm okay, Fumiko-san. I just hope Kotone-san is okay," Mai says, concern in her voice. Aaron, Taiko, and Mosugaba are also concerned. [I am not sure how we can help,] Aaron says.

 

Belle said to Aaron, [I'm sure all Kotone needs is some well-earned rest, and a lot of company. She needs friends to survive.]

Makoto, suddenly aware that his advance had worked but wasn't expecting to be laughed at, looked down and away. Kotone was feeling better. That's what mattered to him.

As for Kotone, despite her higher spirits, she elected to hold onto Fumiko's arm as if her life depended on it, but she also locked her other arm with Makoto. "Okay! Let's get to the village quickly. I want to get out of here."

Belle facepalmed. Turning to Aaron again, she squeaked, [You see what I mean?]
