Finally Jamie had let go of Skitty snf gracefully joined Persian in a pursuit of food. "Dawn. The worst part of the day. I hope he could at least care for his looks than"
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "Before long, Tristan arrived at the golden bridge. The dragon heard the clattering of Epona's hoofs, and flew to meet him." the minstrel went on. He started a "battle" melody as he went on "They fought for one hour, then two hours, and then three."
The story was definitely about to reach its peak; the battle between good and evil finally ensued, and it definitely took its time. One hour, two hours, then three. Was it representing the total number of heads of the Hydreigons? Amara might never know.
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "In time Tristan managed to slay his foe." the minstrel smiled, to cheers. "The Hydreigon had three Ponytas. Tristan tied them together, and took them to the inn. Then he tied them by the side of the middle prince's mount." He grins. "The elder princes did not wake up until till nine o'clock in the morning. They debated who the three Ponytas belonged to for a moment. By then, the middle brother figured they were for him."
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "The three then continued onward to the silver bridge, and then the gold." the minstrel went on, aware that repeating himself twice would bore the audience. "Each time, they found an inn which stood close to the bridge. The two elder brothers indulged until they slept both times. Each time Epona woke Tristan before dawn. And each time a Hydreigon was slain after a long battle. The Ponytas were taken as spoils, with the eldest prince receiving the silver Hydreigon's herd. The crystal Hydreigon's herd was divided between the two elder princes." He smiled. "The two lazy princes were delighted, and galloped off homewards. Tristan, meanwhile, continued on with Epona."
Windripper's feathers were a little ruffled by what he had heard. It didn't seem fair to just let the lazy elder brothers have all of the spoils of the battles, but Windripper presumed that there was a reason for this.
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ The annoyed whispers quiet as the harp plays a tense interlude. "Tristan did not know the three Hydreigons were the pets of a notorious witch known only as Iron Nose." The minstrel went on. "When she learned of the fates of her pets, she vowed vengeance on Tristan."
"Oh dear," Amara muttered quietly as a new approaching enemy had vowed to take vengeance. So it just couldn't be over with a happy ending after slaying the Hydreigons huh?
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "She chased him all across the land, but Tristan managed to stay one step ahead." the minstrel assured the antsy crowd. "One day, he ran into a forge, and told the smithy his story. He promised the smithy that he would serve him for two years for free if he would hide him."
"This is getting more interesting by the second," whispered Windripper softly as he tried to comfort Skarmory. "I wonder how he is going to get rid of Iron Rose."
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "The deal was soon made, and no sooner had the smithy hidden him did Iron Nose appear." the minstrel intoned "She described Tristan down to the smallest detail, but the smith was not about to betray Tristan, so Iron Nose was turned away."
"Oh, that is amazing!" Amara muttered silently as she continued to listen to the story. But obviously, the help came with a price.
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "One day Tristan went for a walk after a long day's work." the minstrel went on. "When he reached the edge of the forest, he met a very old woman. She rode in a carriage drawn by a pair of Skitty."
Skitty than looked up. Hearing her specie name. She ran back to Jamie and jumped up to peak her sudden interest. "O there you are. My dearest" as he sudden changed again to his love for skitty. When Persian laid on his feet. "Just as beautiful as ever arent you" petting Persian
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @~Dream-Of-The-Elements~ "The old woman eyed Tristan cutely, as if she had taken a fancy to him." the minstrel intoned. "Tristan bristled at the thought of being in love with an old hag, much less marrying her."
Windripper started to know how Skarmory felt and slowly got bored of this story, wishing that it would end soon. He extended his hand to pet his partner as the story continued.
(if there is nothing important that will help us, then I would prefer that you fast forward to the end, if everyone else agrees)
