Z-moves were introduced in Sun and Moon that enables Pokémon trainers to kind of provide emotional support to their Pokémon to unleash a powerful move during battle by dancing. Every type has a Z-move, usable once a trainer has the Z-Crystal, and sometimes a specific Pokémon has a Z-move like Pikachu, the Tapu Legendaries and the starters' final evolution. Which is your favourite Z-move? Or maybe your top 3? Which Z-move do you use most often? Do you like when your trainer dances? Which are your favourite moves? Personally I love the Ghost and Fairy type Z-moves! Never-Ending Nightmare is super cool to see while Twinkle Tackle is just so cute! I love it! In Pokémon Moon, the Z-move I use most often is Primarina's Oceanic Operetta since it's so pretty and so deliciously powerful~ If you need assistance in recalling the Z-Moves, check 'em out here I know I needed help with it
The z moves I use the most are the water, fire, and incineroar z moves, though I have yet to use any others at this time.
I love the Tapu's Z-Move, just the trainer doing the crushing hand motion makes me laugh and enjoy it. Though for moves I have used, only used Incinaroar's Z-Move which is cool and all.
I must say that my favourite Z-Move is Devastating Drake, the Dragon Z-Move. I love the concept of the trainer mimicking a giant dragon gaping its jaws to unleash an actual dragon created out of energy onto the opponent.
Catasropika is literally the best thing I have ever seen. Never ending nightmare is also pretty dope.
Decidueye's Sinister Arrow Raid is probably my favorite overall. A little lengthy but very cool. Also a big fan of Hydro Vortex, it grew on me quickly as I used it for a little while with my favorite Pokémon of this generation, Araquanid. Like how both Pokémon are plunged underwater before the vortex and Araquanid with its awesome stabbing pointing animation makes it that much cooler.
My favorite Z-Move currently is probably Extreme Evoboost because of how ridiculous and awesome it is with all of the eeveelutions.
I loved the flying-type Z-move because of how ridiculous it looks on some Pokémon who aren't flying types. They jump really high and just smash themselves into the ground I love it. Primarina and Decidueye's Z-moves are pretty cool too, I guess. The only problem is that they're kinda long (especially Primarina's)
I've only really messed with VGC since S/M came out, but so far definitely it has to be Tectonic Rage. Having a single target ground move is huge in doubles due to the reduction in damage of spread moves and EQ hitting your partner, it can make hitting ground weak Pokémon quite difficult. Tectonic Rage gives every Pokémon the potential to use a single target ground move, which really throws off Pokémon hoping to live a spread EQ. it also just gives you no risk moves a lot of the time where no matter what your opponent does you're in a good position. Even through Protect, Tectonic Rage on something like a Magnezone does like 75% which can be huge if you're trying to support a Celesteela.
I really like Alolan Raichu's signature Z-Move, even though my 3DS lags like crazy whenever I use it. The Z-move I find myself using the most is the water z-move. Update: New fave Z-move is Shattered Psyche. May the poor Golbat I first used this on rest in memes.
I use Deciudeye's Sinister Arrow Raid the most, and I think it's pretty cool. My favorite part of it is when the trainer does the dance and Decidueye pops up like "He's making that face again, isn't he?" Also, CASTROPIKA DANCE!
I like Primarina's Oceanic Operetta. It's z move shows how similar it is to its signature move, Sparkling Aria. Plus, it shows that even elegant moves can be deadly the z move looks like what one would use as a spirit bomb owo'
I like Twinkle Tackle, because a cute Pokémon its approaching and then..... *push* the opponent Pokémon was pushed away~ And its kinda funny.
Haven't really used that many Z-moves, but my favourite for what I have used would have to be Tectonic Rage, the groundium Z and Inferno Overdrive, the firium Z
Competitively I love using Z Conversion since it not only changes your Pokémon's type to your liking, but it also raises all of your stats by one stage which can be pretty devastating for Pokémon that can't handle Porygon2's bulk or PorygonZ's sweeping capabilities. Based on appeal animation Oceanic Operetta looks so beautiful and I think it is absolutely stunning to see in game.
