Robin smiled at Tamal's announcement. That said, he was amused that Alex had come with a packed bag too. Seeing that Robyn was still napping, he went up to Maya to hand over the paper bag with the model kit. "Happy birthday, Maya-chan! This is from me and Robyn."

The commotion stirred Robyn awake. After blinking several times to snap herself out of her trance, she realised that her clubmates had gathered around her, which caused her to snap awake. "H-huh? Agh!" she jumped. "H-happy birthday, Maya-chan!" At first her reaction to get a gift for Maya, only to be reminded that Robin was already ahead of her and had done that. So Robyn brought the takeout box of lemon puffs to Maya instead...

Only to notice that one lemon puff was missing (Huh? I could have sworn the box was full, Robyn thought). Never mind that. She handed over the box to Maya.

Also, why was Kai on his knees? Was he being dramatic? Then again, he and Maya were part of the drama club. Maybe this was to be expected.

"Heh, it's anything but official," Robyn replied to Maya and Alexa. "Alexa-chan is right. We don't want to miss the train." However, she couldn't help yawning. Seems the post-exam tiredness was still weighing on her.

7/20 Saturday: Morning; Iris-shi Station, Shiro Line

As students of Ylisstol High School, the school talent-idol clubmates were entitled to student rates when purchasing train fares. Normally, the way to pass through was using the automatic ticket gates - either using prepaid magnetic cards or with tickets purchased from ticket machines. But student passes had to dealt with the station staff at the ticket counters.

After a short amount of time, all the club members had bought their tickets and had no sooner walked to the platform for the Shiro Line with service to Byakuya-shi. The train arrived on the platform at exactly four minutes before the top of the hour, so there really was no time to waste because after eight minutes, the doors would close and train would depart. In fact, the train had started out from Aritia Station, and Iris-shi was on its way.

So the clubmates shared two rows of seats together as the train departed. Looking out the window, they could see the landscape pass by in minutes. It looked different compared to the sights they saw when taking trains to Gartenstadt and Aritia. As they travelled, they had the option to purchase light meals or snacks if they wished. Robyn, for one, had gone to sleep.

7/20 Saturday: Morning; Byakuya-shi Station, Concourse

The sun had risen over Byakuya-shi and brilliantly brought the city into light. If it wasn't its parks and trees, it would be the historical landmarks of Hoshido Castle or Byakuya-shi Station. Regarding the station, it was common to see activity going in and out. Commuters waited in the lounges for their trains as visitors went to check what else the station had to offer. There were a lot of consumer goods and services in this station, after all.

Kamui and Meru were having breakfast at the mazesoba restaurant within the station. Similar in style to Iris-shi Station, although the food was considerably better by far. Mazesoba, after all, was a specialty here. The plan was to meet up with Robyn's school talent/idol club this morning, so Kamui and Meru thought it was a better use of time to eat before attending to their visitors.

Even Robin was more than happy to vent his experience with finals. At least that was something to keep himself entertained during the trip. Alex and Maya seemed distracted enough by their own activities, and Nora liked watching the view outside. If he wasn't distracted by the conversation, he would have enjoyed the view too.

If Nora squinted, she could see the hills of Byakuya-shi in which Hoshido Castle was visible in the horizon.

7/20 Saturday: Morning; Byakuya-shi Station, Concourse

The Shiro Line came to the end of its journey as the train slowed down to stop at the platform. Afterwards, the clubmates picked up their bags - making sure nothing was left behind - and disembarked. Byakuya-shi Station had a very modern design to give a welcoming vibe to visitors, and also suggested that the city was big enough to invest this much money into its transit hub.

Now that Robyn was well-rested, she walked together from the platform to the station concourse with her clubmates. In fact, she had never been to Byakuya-shi before (and she guessed Robin was the same), so this was quite an experience.

"Robyn-chan!" Immediately, Robyn knew that was Kamui's voice calling. Then she saw the white-haired girl (wait - did Kamui's hair remind Robyn of her own?) waving furiously at her. Beside Kamui was Meru, who looked like she was shaking her head at Kamui's antics. Then as the club approached Kamui and Meru, Kamui said, "Welcome to Byakuya-shi!"

 

Kamui smiled brightly. "If you think the station is beautiful, just wait til you see what's outside!"

7/20 Saturday: Morning; Byakuya-shi Station, Entrance

The moment Robyn stepped out of the station to outside, she could tell she was in a very different environment than that of Iris-shi (never mind the Hee Ho Mart inside the station). Whereas she was used to seeing forested hills and mountains in the background, Byakuya-shi was dominated by a hilltop castle overlooking the city. Robyn recalled meeting a prince from Byakuya-shi last year, but she doubted he lived in that castle since it was a historical site now.

After they left the entrance of Byakuya-shi Station, Kamui and Meru led the club through the streets of Byakuya-shi. The station was located right in the heart of the city which was surrounded by many residential and commercial buildings. Granted, the buildings were not as tall as Byakuya-shi Station itself, but there were many because of its population. And given the bigger population, Byakuya-shi had many schools.

Kamui and Meru continued to walk through the streets while passing by several parks and gardens. That impressed Robyn and Robin. How was it that a city like this could have so many recreation areas? Byakuya-shi was certainly not as big as Aritia, but it had its qualities. Notably, there were plenty of advertisements for Azura and Shirgure - the local school idols - seen around the city. Rumour had it that they might perform a home concert someday.

"So! Since it is Maya-chan's birthday, is there anything we could do today? I know it's something to spend her birthday away from home..." Robyn said, as if she were sorry to drag Maya out like this. Turning to her clubmates she added, "I wonder what the school will be like."

"Well... we could always visit the park! It's a great place to walk around and enjoy the white blossoms. It's really a sight," Kamui replied. "If you're feeling for it, the sushi restaurant is popular... You know what? After this, let's go there to eat! Besides..." Kamui grinned at Robyn. "I owe Robyn-san sushi because I stole her yakitori."

Robyn stared. "Well..."

Kamui turned to Maya. "Okay! I'll get you a gift later on. I'll think of something!" After that, she waved at Robin (to which Robyn raised her eyebrows) for him to come along.

Robyn questioned where Kamui's money came from (but didn't bother asking). If Kamui was a princess, then Robyn guessed Kamui had some kind of allowance, but not even Chrom would spend this generously. Then again, the same couldn't be said for Lissa.

7/20 Saturday: Morning; Shirasagi High School

Kamui eventually lead the club to the entrance of Shirasagi High School - one of several popular high schools in the city - with as much energy as the Hansens feared. In comparison to Ylisstol High School, this school was much bigger. Not only was it taller but it was also wider. Maybe this was the plus side of being in a relatively bigger city. More students meant more money for the school.

The sight of the school would draw different reactions from the club. This was the school where Tamal could have ended up in, had he not moved to Iris-shi.

"So! I'm glad you'll come to perform with us. Is there anything you'd like to know?" Kamui asked.

“Want to know where we’re performing? Follow me!” Kamui said. “And it’s even better than our gym or auditorium!”

Contrary to Maya’s expectations, Kamui led the club to the school courtyard, which was a large square of flat ground situated behind the school’s main building. It was an enormous clearing that also had the classroom building, library, and practice building around it.

Arranged on the courtyard was a stage - the same sort one would find at music festivals. It had it all - a clearing for the audience, spotlights positioned well above, and speaker towers.

Nevertheless the school’s size was comparable to the schools in Aritia. Certainly Aritia schools were more advanced and cutting-edge, but Shirasagi High had its merits. Even the school buildings were taller than Ylisstol High’s.

Kamui turned to Alex. “Collaboration? I know for certain that Azura will be here at least! And I wonder how many other clubs may show up. Requests… like do you have song requests?”

"H-huh? I... I guess..." Robyn was taken aback by the look on Kai's face. Plus, Meru was smiling. Was there something going on that Robyn did not notice? Even so, Robyn reached to untie her tails to let her hair flow naturally down. She couldn't help blushing because she normally almost never appeared in public with her hair like this.

For some reason, the sight made Robin blush a little but for different reasons (because he thought Robyn looked attractive like this).
