Today, 4 separate trailers were dropped for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, each a bit different than the others. So, as per usual, I've slaved away watching all of the trailers, analysing frame-by-frame details, to bring you all the latest info about these amazing games. For the purpose of this analysis, we'll only refer to the event of the English Trailer uploaded. The other Japanese trailers didn't contain any other information, but did have different footage. Note that any text in this colour is an aspect exclusive to Pokémon Ultra Sun, and any text in this colour is an aspect exclusive to Pokémon Ultra Moon. The trailer begins with a clip of the player challenging a familiar face to battle - Team Rocket's Leader and the Viridian City Gym Leader, Giovanni. However, he's not exactly the same as we know him. Sporting a prideful rainbow insignia on his chest, the leader of Team Rainbow Rocket makes his debut. Giovanni has made his big return, and he bought a few friends along with him. he first we see is his Mewtwo, which he uses in battle. Yes, you read that right, an NPC using a Legendary Pokémon to battle. Insane! But it gets better, as the other "friends" I mentioned earlier are introduced one-by-one; Team Aqua's Archie, Team Magma's Maxie, Team Galactic's Cyrus, Team Plasma's Ghetsis, and Team Flare's Lysandre. What role will they play in these games? For now, we'll leave it at that, and head on over to the next topic. The Battle Agency is a new battle facility in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, where players rent powerful Pokémon for 1-on-1 matches, as well as wear some stylin' shades. As you proceed through the ranks, you may get the chance to fight powerful opponents, as shown with the example given of Trial Captain Sophocles, as well as win rare items like Gold Bottle Caps. If you thought the Zygarde Cube was stupid, you're gonna hate this - some idiot's gone all around the Alola region and stuck stickers everywhere! These are known as "Totem Stickers", and collecting them will allow you to add larger-than-usual Totem Pokémon to your team! Examples of this shown were Totem Yungoos, Totem Lurantis and Totem Salazzle. (There's no pic for this lol) The Island Scan feature was a great way for Trainers in Alola to encounter some rare Pokémon, including Starter Pokémon from other regions. Now, the Island Scan has had an upgrade, and is able to find a whole slew of new Pokémon. Examples of this shown were a wild Charmander, Grovyle, and Greninja being found. Remember when we found out that you could catch every Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and then we found out that you could travel to different dimensions in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon? Apparently those two game mechanics had a baby, and now Legendary Pokémon are swarming to the Alola Region's dimensional plane. And when they say "Every Legendary", they mean it. Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Latios, Latias, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Dialga, Palkia, Uxie, Mesprit, AZELF, Regigigas, Cresselia, Heatran, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Yveltal, Xerneas, and Zygarde are all shown to appear in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. And that sums up all the information given out in today's trailers! Oh, but one last thing; another Trailer has already been announced! Tune in at 2 PM (Japan Time) on November 10 to find out what it is! Feel free to discuss all the news below!
