Either way, it would be very sudden to the party to learn about the Jewels of Light being the ultimate goal… when the story has not eluded on it a lot. From what I gather, it has been mostly focused on the Sword of the Stars instead. So I hope the story is not facing a reset.
@122 Generation No, it's not--I had planned the story to take the jewel route, but then it went another direction. So for consistency's sake, we can say the scales function like the original jewels I had planned.
Agreed. And unless specified IC, let's assume that Aine's been gathering the scales like Blacky does with the special sword's parts -- and that's with her prior knowledge of the scales' function.
@WavePearl @ChocoChicken @122 Generation Random question: Should the resistance admit or deny this next time it's brought up?
@SAF The rumor Sammi heard is partially true--the evil in Spikeford don't copy the Kickingham barrier perfectly
In that case, we're gonna need to brainstorm how the Kickenham version works and adjust it for the Spikeford one... Spoiler: Brain dump The first thing that came in mind for Kickenham's barrier is that it mainly employs holy-luna magic -- possibly with some ice magic sprinkled in. This is because its primary function is for protection against Sol DK. As for the Spikeford one, I'd imagine it'll be mostly shadow-based. Depending on this RP's tone, the barrier has been adjusted to either repel or actively harm Eeveelutions while simply repelling almost everyone else. "Almost" because there's a flaw: the barrier allows Spikeford-borns to pass regardless of their current allegiance (probably going by the assumption that all Spikeford-borns, wherever they are, are bound to be DK worshippers no matter what). With that in mind, I'll leave how the barrier will affect Xuehua up to Choco. That said, any better ideas are welcome.
And for those who do know about the songs and/or tales about the Winged Guardians of the Crown Tundra, how would they explain it?
@SAF They are only seen as evil because of their great power--they are actually heroic. Their being seen as evil is actually a combination of misunderstanding and combining several versions of the same story
@WavePearl @ChocoChicken @122 Generation I'm leaving who said that one part up to the next narration. Would it be Celine? Or Blacky? Or Josson? Or any of the Society members?
@WavePearl Is it safe to assume that Aine will write the letter? She has yet to say something about it.
@WavePearl Sorry for double post, but is 1000 crowns a reasonable price for sword upgrade with silver chunks? Or should it be cheaper or more expensive?
@122 Generation If memory serves, Aine is writing the letter to the Galarian birds in the inn. (she will finish when you guys return)
