In that case, let's roll with sol then. Blacky has been using a sol sword with no repercussions (aside from his lack of sol enchantment at the time), so why can't we do the same with a bow?
Not until someone (most likely Aine and/or Blacky, but we'll see) actually learns it IC -- maybe in an archery school or something.
Anywho, have my random 11 pm thought: Spoiler: Eheh Tl;dr: I wanna give Blacky a different birth name as a shiny Eevee but can't figure out what it's gonna be. He changed his name upon evolving and unlike Xuehua, this does not involve him running away. @WavePearl @122 Generation Thoughts?
His parents named him <insert Blacky's old name here> because he looked different from any other Eevee -- hence me trying to find a name that means "white" (or maybe "silver"). But then when it's time to evolve, his master warned that his evolved form, whatever it would be, is bound to be totally different from his Eevee form, so his old name may no longer relevant from that point onward. And OOC-ly, I somewhat drew inspiration from Shadows of Almia's Blake Hall + - (birth name: Wyatt Hall).
If we're doing a time skip here, would it make sense if our MCs managed to add some stuff into their repertoires off-screen?
@WavePearl @ChocoChicken @122 Generation Sorry for the triple post, but I have a question: Spoiler: Question
The thing is, if I get this right, the resistance's base is fully underground unless @ChocoChicken says otherwise. I'd imagine the "safe house" would look like any other houses in Spikeford but with hidden stairs or warp zones or something to the underground base...
Hey, Wave's the host. You have the veto power. I do think that would make the most sense, though, hidden stairs and all. Sides, I think Wave was just agreeing with your original post (the Discord bit) unless I read something wrong. They just summarized it as "safe house" rather than the full base post.
@SAF That makes the most sense--this way, if one is raided, they can move to another. But there are some in Spikeford that support the resistance.
Yep, though we won't know who specifically until we get there. And the hidden stairs can lead to pathways interconnecting between safe houses~ Or if we go the warp zone route, I'd imagine they'll only activate to those whose true allegiance is against the Dragon Kings -- including the Shadow one. No verbal claims can fool the thing.
Hey @WavePearl, random questions: Since we're about to skip to the Spikeford raid, would it make sense for Xuehua to actually know some more of the Prismatic Orb's functions by then? If yes, maybe spill 'em to @ChocoChicken via DM or something? Is it possible to TP past a barrier (in general, not just Aine)?
@SAF What kind of functions are you thinking about? Yes, and no--it depends on the strength of the barrier.
Hold up, we're planning on skipping to the raid? Haven't seen Wave's word on that one. Also, I have some minor points I would like to do just before the raid starts - on the day of the raid, but before any real action. Also for the barrier, do we have any plans for that plot point specifically? I do have a tactic for the barrier in mind, if its gimmick is that it only lets Spikeford citizens in and TP-ing is allowed.
Honestly, I dunno. Only Dynamax came to mind and here I thought you have some ideas. Not sure -- just basing off this one: Though seems like we're still wavering on it. And here I am, on the verge of throwing my Kleavor NPC idea out of the window should we go through with the time skip. Let's hope yours will actually come through~ Oh? I'm listening.
